It would not surprise me if Patrick Lambie will eventually become a Springbok skipper...he has the leadership skills, calm and level-headed temperament and outstanding game and ball sense...ideal attributes for a great captain. He was a well loved and respected head boy at his school. Despite his many accolates he remains a modest youngster with rare qualities of humility...the true makings of strong leadership...a really exceptional young man in a world given to boastings and pumped-up egoists.

Hey sebastien. good to see you back and commenting. You may have a point with this lad, but I must add, if they play him at 10 it will not happen. If he plays as a fullback, then you may just be on the money.

Not to worry - Bluebok - Goosen will be at 10 and Lambie at 15.   If Goosen gets injured - Lambie will play at 10.   No Steyn - do you undestand?

clevermike, Steyn is going to be there for a while still, and although I reckon Goosen is a better overall package, he is going to be an understudy to Steyn for quite a while still....or that is how I think Heineke is gonna do it anyway.

Lambied oes appear to have some credentials but not showing anything yet  perhaps wisely lest he get the backs of the senior players up and appear to be a big ego.

Lambie I think has now may have moved ahead of Morne, The next few games could sway Meyer and Beeno lambie's way for Bok flyhalf!

The boy must become a man first.
