Law 8...grounding ball at base of pole protector.

I see this law has been changed in 2020. Under the old law Bongi probably could have grounded the ball there instead of trying to reach line by turning it to his right and placing short...a pity because great effort.

Great effort maybe but half decently drilled players know that touching the ball to the ground before the line negates a potential try. A piece of information this quota player seemed to ignore.
