Good old Santambank Currie Cup action. Second half with WP having to fight their way back into the game. Some magic moments from Faffa Knoetze, two certain tries botched by Carel DuP and Freddie Ferreira. Makes me recall fondly Saturday afternoons in my childhood watching these guys .
I wish I was alive for a lot of the older gen rugby in South Africa. My father often talks about those days when reminiscing about life in the Transvaal back in the day. When I see these videos (many more are being posted all the time!), it's just really nice to see. Thanks for sharing Pakie.
Amazing the memories this brings back, even the commentators' voices that I still recall so well. Faffa was one of my childhood heroes, so too Cobus Burger, although I think he was a far better wing than 12 where he plays in this game. Nice to be reminded of the turn of pace Gert Smal had as well. Nice try for stringbean Hempas Rademeyer for Tvl too , another player I remember very well.
