While I do admire the passion, the blind-eyed support of fans can really take away the enjoyment of proper debate. It is time we put this Poite thing to rest and rather approach it with perspective and context. Those among us with balanced views would tell you that the error made by the ref robbed us of a proper contest and that is where the disappointment stems from. There is no need for Bok fans to conjure up fabrications of match fixing and the sort. There is no need for All Black fans to tell us that our players went out there with malicious intent. There is no proof of either. Some posters are just Windup Merchants (WUMs for those of you familiar with BBC 606 back in the day). So sure fans all over the world are justified in expressing there disappointment that the match did not reach its desired potential, but to what point does the mudslinging help in discussion and debate. It never does and it results in a very unsatisfactory experience. The match result is final and documented, Bok supporters can lay to rest the idea we were robbed a victory, because who knows? I am united with all supporters though who are a little bit grieved by the fact that the contest was ruined and I certainly would feel less so it happened the other way around. Therefore I want to express my due respect to those All Black posters who are happy with their win but also acknowledge the clear officiating error.

u must not be familiar with sarugby.com, sorry but poite is going to be around for a long long time.

there are a few saffas here whose opinons on the matter arent a whinge, the likes of rooy and a few others, but all in all look for this one incident to be the focal point for the majority here.

its easier to blame the referee then it is to accept that the Boks came with the wrong game plan that wasnt even executed properly.

IMO had bizzy not been red carded the outcome was unlikely to change, unless there is sufficent proof to say that bizzy would have stopped the trademark Boks style of their best bafana bafana impersonation???

anyway, i cant wait for ellis park, and hopefully nigel owens puts up a much better show then his NH bro who dropped the pooch big time.
like cloudzter said, All Blacks were robbed of chance to beat a 15 man Bok team.

Yeah guys I think we all would prefer a fair contest. As a Bok supporter I know our game is based on dominating upfront so we can play on the front foot. In the 30 minutes of 15 on 15 yesterday I would say that we mostly had parity and therefore the allround game of the All Blacks would give you guys the edge. I know a lot of Saffas will be chucking around baseless accusations, but so do some of the opposition posters who question the intentions of our players. Those radicals aside, I am sure we will have proper discussion on other facets of play once the emotion has died down a bit. We are most definitely ranked 2nd but it was difficult to gauge how far we really are behind you guys since the contest was ruined. In any case this whole series of events has opened my eyes to which posters are credible, and which ones are just fanatics without considering the big picture. It really is not worth it to reply to those who can't value an opinion different from their own.

 My grievance is not so much with the posters on here ,a few first timers venting or looking for a shoulder ,but on the Roar and other supposedly superior bastions of the more knowledgable [ supposedly ] rugby fans and their hate directed at our boys .The ABS had nothing to do with the reffing ,thats all there is to it .Why would they need help ? bismark was his own worst enemy any schoolkid from NZ knows when the ref cards you once you pull ya head in or the coach will or should do it for you !

Given the history of the Du Plessis clan a bit of circumspection on their part may be called for .

What do saffa fans expect the ABS to do ? Protest the refs decision on the Boks behalf ? send one of their men off to make it even ? if the roles were reversed saffa fans wouldnt give a shit now would they ? Neither would I !

Carter tweeted that the tackle was fine with him. Bismarck du Plessis will appear before a SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer so maybe we will get some clarity on it and put it to rest then. So Carter, our coach our commentors, our press all think it was a bad call. Let's see what to officials say.
