"Irish flanker Sean O'Brien says the British and Irish Lions would have won the June series against the All Blacks 'comfortably' if it wasn't for overtraining."
Well, there we have the answer as to why the Boks lost by by 57 points, it was overtraining. Man they must have really overtrained, if the didn't train at all just think of how many points they would have won by

It was too warm, too cold, it was too hot, we overtrained, it was wet, it was humid (All at the same time)

Yes it might be the reason. Clearly the Lions were the superior team

What a load o f BS from the Irish nioncumpoop.

Read Jake White's book. He was on the way to overtrain the Boks during the 2007 RWC and John Smit reminded him of something that he, Jake White himself, used to say, i.e. sometimes less is more. This isn't some BS somebody else has made up. Jake White discussed it himself.

They actually did better as the tour progressed.
Therefore, it is highly doubtful that it is over-training.

Funny how some folks insist they know better than a player who actually experienced what happened. Look what Federer did when fully rested. Over training/playing happens.

as long as it's overtraining and not OverEating

Last RWC there was a certain Team that did not play that well due to the players being lethargic from just been to the "All you can eat buffet" next door to their camp. Some went 3 times before the game LOLS

Ha ha, I hope you have a good time Wardad. Looking forward to receiving a package from you - I hope it's on ice as it will be pretty ripe when it get's here otherwise. Barbie is cleaned and ready
I think the Lions may have over trained, it's always a delicate balance. They did improve as the tour went on, partly because the came together as a team and partly because they started to play their best players. Gaitland may have over trained them but he deserves credit for a great tour.
