Ja, coach Heyneke can no longer ignore Jaco Kriel.
He was absolutely monstrous before he had to leave the field.
My only concern is, is he as good as Coetzee is on the ground? To me, that is an open-siders primary role.
He is absolutely unbelievable with ball in hand and as a support runner though. I would definitely have him on the Bok bench.
He has been consistent for 2 seasons now.
At the beginning of the year, i think it was J_W who asked which SA players are good value for money for the Super XV fantasy teams... my first pick for him at the time was Kriel.
Furthermore, i think that we would all take Willie Britz a whole lot more seriously if he cut those pubes off his head. He wrecks havoc when comes on in the second half. Week in and week out.
The Lions have the BEST loose forwards in the country, and Kudos to coach Ackermann for finding a way to have them all involved in 1 way or another.
Kinda reminds me of the Sharks in years gone bye with Kanko, Botes, Coetzee, Alberts and Deysel at his disposal.
Mnisi also had a supurb game.
Happy days!

ou maaaikie please! Schalk is an 80 minute player - saying he can play 30 minutes is absurd!!
I dont think Du Toit is ready yet to go on tour. Bring in the Lions props.Their work outside the scrum and speed around the park is very good - hooker did well also.
Britz is undervalued. Kriel could bea good impact player off the bench. All the Lions loosies did their job.
Mnisi at 98 kg is looking good.Other lions backs also very enterprising. However remember this is a watered down comp.
Bulle need to change their coach?

Agreed regarding Bulls coaching staff.
Their time has come.
Lovely bloke that Frans Ludeke, but naaa... not the best coach.

Minsi was so much better than Esterhuizen, who is strong but throws stupid passes and is a liability on defence. The Lions are a team...congrats to Ackerman, a blue collar coach who has done an outstanding job.
