Yes its very obvious to as astute observer that he should be turned into a world beating hooker. His scrumming on the tighthead is adequate but no more. He has the pace to play hooker and would add immensely to the physicality of a tight five and the scrumming in general.

Total madness. There is no evidence Koch is better in the loose than an up and coming player like Marx...or that he can be effective as a lineout thrower.
Nor could Spies ever tackle in open field and he probably was no faster than Stepfontein after he bulked up and certainly changed direction about as quickly as the Queen Mary.
As for Kolbe at scrummie....why? So he can test his lack of physicality on locks rather than wings.
