Can anyone please recommend a site for watching Super Rugby live. I have canceled my DSTV. I refuse to pay close to R1K just for watching rugby. I don't mind paying for the streaming service, but I've had it with DSTV.

Sportstream.tv

Just close the pop-ups that are annoying...you can virtually watch any match world wide and other sports as well. And it's free without registration .

My DSTV broke in December, Draad.

Also cancelled.

It was literally only ever used for rugby/cricket. The rest is total fekkin garbage.

I wish Netflix or Youtube sport would just make a deal for the broadcasting rights.

Less bloat so cheaper while being able pay players more and would indirectly alleviate some of the quota pressure.

DSTV is actively supporting quo ta and they take unnecessary political stances....and force rugby lovers to pay for the premier package. Blatant milking of a specific demographic.

I've had it with them. I've tried ESPN, but their service is unavailable in South Africa.  I expect Fox to be the same.

PS, Seb...that site constantly redirects to stupid ads and porn. I can't get the rugby up if you can pardon the pun, but I have more than an hour left to get it right.

Blob and Brycie, where are you streaming from?

Cool, it's still working and pre-match commentary on now. Nice full screen without any adds or popup boxes. On edge on my Xbox...no need for casting it from the laptop.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaa!!!

Glad to hear it.

I too cancelled my DSTV ... right after the rugby world cup.

They can't even get the rights to some major boxing fights ... and still expect top dollar for their second rate garbage. Ancient reruns ... one after the other.

The white man can't even buy shares in the company.

The only reason I had it was for the sport and world news.

10 soccer channels ... all catered for the darker skin folk of the country no doubt ... and hardly any WTA tennis.

They don't even have a decent music channel ... rap crap and jungle bunny rhythm is all they provide ... with an abundance of tribal dancing sheeeeat!!!

No thanks. I shan't be supporting their racist cause any longer. Should have got rid of it ages ago.

I think there's a big gap in the market for a proper rugby streaming site in South Africa...where we can watch what we like and don't have to subsidize the crap we've got no interest in.

I don't stream that often Draad but do when I'm away...it always works for me but yesterday it was intermittent,,,with a deluge of undesirable pop ups...strange... but obviously one must never open them...I suspect viruses loom there and scanning with anti virus afterwards is always recommended...I use Spybot, and Malwarebytes as extra insurance.

I'm not quite sure what is more surprising to me.... the fact that so many people are cancelling their DSTV subscriptions.... or the fact that CC knows a completely new and different kind of music... called "Jungle Bunny Rhythm"

@ Draad. A VPN can be very helpful. I use Pure VPN, but there are many other options out there. These services allow you to connect through their ser ver in your country of choice, which means that you have access to live streams from that country, sometimes free of charge. Case in point: During the WC I was in Greenland and was able to stream directly from the UK's ITV service.

DA .......maybe Apple or Amazon can start bidding for these sport viewing rights.....AT &T in the States lose half a million TV subscribers each year at least.

Suppose from them then it would be fair to purchase each championship of a sport as a bundle.

Found a glitch. I have DSTV Now on my phone. I still have the most basic of accounts...basically only the free channels, so I can watch almost nothing.....but, if I'm in the Superbru app on my phone, and I click "watch live", it opens the match in the DSTV Now app.

Doesn't work on Xbox though...just the phone.

Just make sure you have good anti-virus and anti-malware stuff if you're going to fiddle with those streaming sites, Draad.

Hi Pakie... It's a nightmare on the Xbox, but from my laptop and phone it works quite well if I use Brave Browser...It blocks pop-ups and adds. What's your alternative to SS...VPN and a paid subscription from overseas somewhere? I refuse to pay a thousand Rand a month for rugby and cricket only ...other sports and content I stream on my Xbox for free...well almost free.

I usually watch the Bok tests on Livetv.sx, not bothered about other sport or even other rugby games now. It's hit and miss, sometimes unwatchable, sometimes decent (might be my internet). I don't care much either way. Too many other things keeping me busy to worry about sport much.

DbD we are using a device that allows us to watch the following:

3762 Channels, including 279 sport channels which include Sky Sport, 110 movie channels etc.

To use this you require WIFI and this stick.

Here is the contact if you are interested:

A one time set up charge in US $'s about $300  which includes the purchase of the plug in device.

An annual fee for the service of around US $ 120.

Could be more now?????

Edward Guinasso (206) 650-7176

ed@guinasso.com

Not sure if it available in RSA but if you contact Ed  by email he will give you all the details.

Excellent non stop sport and service.

Leinster looks like a really good team. It would be interesting to see how the Crusaders match up against them at a neutral venue.
