The WC may be over earlier than they think if Lomp makes the Bok team. Nice to see the back of this slow thinking Giant Ground Sloth.

A better slosh than your hero - a standin center - ever was as a LOCK.   Foolishness abounds on this site.

Mozart I was just using your words.   He is one of the best locks we had in SA for the past five years and has shown his leadership qualities too.   A must for the Springboks WC squad - we need a functioning Tight 5.

My word was sloth......your word is slosh. You do know what a sloth is I hope. If not, look at Lomp and you'll see a good imitation.

Balls as per normal - a sloth are player l;ike Alberts and even lately Vermeulen and Louw.   Too slow in movement and pace to make an impact on anything,   I used to call Alberts Soth Alberts  -mis that where you gt the comparison from? .

Lead Head Dejaegaer's career-defining moment was losing the game in the world cup match between the Boks vs All Blacks. Barrett pushed him over the touchline because he was too simple to cut back inside.
It was near the All Black try line and all the ball had been recycled - it would have been a good opportunity to drive over. Instead, Lead Head decided to try take the non-existent outside gap and he was pushed over the tryline. An age group under 10 rugby player would have pushed him out.

Sure eh lost the game for the Springboks - not the deadheads like Matfield with his turn around penalty.   There is one thing you forgot - no Springbok team playing the game plan Meyer devised could win anything  and you are much like Mozart - one incident ion a game years ago becomes career-defining.

Sure Sal is contracting him since he was as useless as Mozart and you made him out to be.   Wonderful thinkers we have on this site.

Sale Sharks are employing anyone that is from South Africa. The should be called South Africans Sharks for Sale. Buy Now at discounted rand rate.
The donkey twins and their surrogate brain cell that plays at flyhalf have joined many others.

Matfield's mistake was an unforced error. It wasn't rank stupidity.

Actually there were two incidents.....the Barrett incident that occurred during the TN and the WC incident where he was handed off for the ABs' first try. Hopelessly overrated lazy player.

True, I got the 2 matches mixed up - because it was actually 2 unacceptable mistakes for a professional rugby player. It did not seem possible that someone would make these errors in 2 matches only a few months apart.
All rugby players make "some" unforced errors, but making basic incompetent unprofessional mistakes like this is not acceptable at an international level.
The Diesel Twins will make "more" enforced errors, but they do not have the skills required at international level
It is made or break moments like this that destroy matches.

Mozart what Barrett try are you talking about in the TN?   I know of two tries scored by Barrett in tests and both were scored before De Jager was a regular in the team.   Then there is the perpetual lie about De Jager is a lazy player.

This anti-De Jager myth of yours started the moment he became a thread to Matfield from a selection perspective.   That was in 2014 and the BS is continuing.

When he's not injured he's being monstered into touch metres from the AB line as the whistle blows....denying a good chance to win the match. The monster who put him into touch ...Beaudan Barrett. Hahaha! Face it the last excitement about this sloth was against Scotland in the 2015 WC. The Welsh put him to the sword. Four long years of nothing and now he's supposed to walk into the Bok team.....nope.

Mozart

You have become known for manufacturing incidents in games when in fact the blame effectively was elsewhere.   That incident was a misrepresentation as per normal was total BS.

The first problem was that there was a line-out on the opposite side of the field five meters out - the intention being forming a  driving maul.   That never materialized because the famous Matfield fumbled the ball in the line out.   The ball went to the backline - but they could not penetrate the AB defense.

There were several breakdowns before the ball ended up on the opposite side of the field when it came back to the scrummie who passed the ball to De Jager that was about a meter from the sideline.   It is easy to tackle a prson out that near to the sideline.

So who f#cked up the game at that stage?   The answer is simple -

*    the first major bugger-up was made by Matfield; and

*    the second bugger-up was made by the scrummie - who passed the ball to De Jager and NOT in-field.

Is it not time that you give an honest assessment on site and not the garbage you became known for?

I take it after all these years you still can't see Matfield clearly being interfered with in that lineout. He couldn't even move his arm to properly tap the ball because his opponent was hanging off it like a monkey.

You can clearly see the left hand on Matfield's elbow and the right hand on his wrist.

This is where Matfield ended up - I guess people just usually end up flat on their backs after a lineout without interference. That should have been a Bok penalty.

Losing Lood is not as big a loss to the Bulls as Mostert was to the Lions. They have a class act in Snyman.

Is this the end of his test career though? Northern hemisphere competitions tends to soften our players up. They return fat and lazy.

Look at Vermeulen.

The mighty dollar has once again enticed our best away.

Sale seem to be blowing their CVC money on Saffas, probably due to the favourable exchange rate not dissimilar to Gloucester.

Faf de Klerk, Du Preez twins and Robert Jr, Akkers vd Merwe, RJVR, Jono Ross, Josh Strauss and now Lood.

Could be an exciting team to follow next season when you include the Curry Twins, James O'Connor, Marland Yarde and Chris Ashton.

Probably more SA signings before the start of next season as well.

Great lock and great loss to Bulls and Boks.

This oaks is a huge problem. Unless it gets sorted we will always struggle.

Only solution is to go play up north.

Pakie

That bit of interference you alleges was utter BS.    Matfield in 2014 and 205 was not the player he used to be.   Any physical lock would not have lost the ball under such circumstances anyway and would have set up the desired  driving maul.

It is lunacy to state otherwise - and BS is not what is expected on this site,

He is not "alleging" the interference.......Pakie is showing a clear image of the interference. Only a totally dishonest person, or somebody who knows nothing about rugby would deny that Matfield was illegally taken out. All you have to do is look at the relative heights of the two jumpers, Matfield has soared 18 inches above the competing AB. It's stuff like this that has totally ruined your credibilty Mike.

Touching his arm - maybe - it is not clear from the photo and definitely not seen as interference by the referee and line judge.   But for you and Pakie it is sufficient as an excuse.   It is clear that that was not what will normally happen when a player jump for a ball and is interfered with.   So as per normal absolute BS.

What is clear is that if he was 18 inches above the NZ player that touch you alleged took place would have made ZERO difference - the ball should have been taken and the maul should have been formed.   It was because of a total bugger-up by Mozart in the line-out it did not happen,  Nott the only critical line-outs he missed out on either,    Fact is his return to play for the Springboks in 2014 was a disaster - he was not the player he used to be..

Now back to me ruining my reputation by writing facts on site - prefer facts to BS has al;ways been my norm.      .
