Lots of Kolisi praise.....the Beast is the real deal

Maybe Kolisi shaped the Boks recovery but to me Vermeulen was calling the shots out there....both with his play and his fiery leadership. At best Kolisi had a respectable game, with the exception of the Itoje try which reminded me of Krige's feeble defence against Jerry Collins coming off the back of the scrum. There is little said about the Beast, except for the odd rote article about his 100th test. But here is a black player that defines the term Springbok. Has he ever let us down in one key scrum in all those tests.....I can't recall one. Has he ever really had a bad game, again the memory fails to respond. This is a player who has never had to rely on quotas for his chances and has never tried to politically exploit his position. He plays rugby. I'm guessing more has been written about the bog ordinary Kolisi, about his leadership skills that are so hard to discern......this year alone.....than has been written about the Beast his whole career. Politics shapes everything.
