…off to golf, but there is the usual Bok loss ‘we was robbed’ stuff beginning to boil up. Here’s a tweaked Tennyson quote to take to heart:

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning at the bar,
When I put out to sea
FFS we lost, the ref made some mistakes but I am convinced he was totally impartial.

In 2003, when we lost to England, there was more ground for an excuse, but there weren't any made for the most part. We knew we didn't play well and we knew we were not the better team. There was a greater desire for improvement in the team. The Erasmus era has ingrained arrogance and poisoned SA rugby. There is no honesty in our rugby, there is no integrity amongst the fans. Excuses and lies to keep the flotsam and jetsam of our garbage above the waterline. The Irish were clearly the better side, and survived our dour spoiling tactics. We were not robbed by anyone other than the ineptitude of our coaching and poor performances by the individuals. We look very underprepared, unfit, and like a total rabble.

Well I see this loss and somewhat of a positive. It's helped shine a light on what the path forward should be with some time to spare.

No one on here blames the loss on the ref, some noted a few errors...I think the ref also swayed under the immense pressure of the match...was no easy affair...he made errors both ways, we tend to notice the errors which impact our teams negatively...as stated before, the pass for our try seemed forward to some...I can't recall and will have to watch again...the 50/50 things seemed to go against us, but again it might only have felt that way because of how close the game was contested...

We had some big dubious calls. This Bok side is very much leniently reffed. The least penalised team of the last eight years. We have no grounds for excuse.

The ref made enough errors to cost us the match whether he ment to or not. Grow a backbone and deal with it.

No drivel from ou Deus. Rassie made a stand against pathetic reffing. He did what a man of courage and integrity needed to do and was suspended for his efforts. The I RB hated the truth coming out.
