Well ... I see you lot are still singing the lucky Goats’ praises.

A team riddled with racist quotas, has-beens, the elderly and the useless. This lot has been given the team of the year award ... which they didn’t deserve ... the player of the year award ... which they also didn’t deserve ... and the coach of the year award ... which should by rights have gone to another far better coach, who took his side forward in massive leaps and bounds.

Things are good in Goats land. The masses are celebrating their quota captain.

Rassie and his quota assistant have now paved the way for additional racist selections. The doors have been flung wide open and I’m sure we’ll see this policy taking off at an unprecedented rate ... and of course, the mass exodus of all our talented white youngsters.

So sad.

How things have changed. Take Schalk Brits as an example. He was unable to make the grade back when he was younger, stronger, quicker and hungrier. Now he’s an integral part of the Goats side. It surely tells a story of regression.

I realize you lot are in rugby heaven now and that you view the Goats as the best of the best in world rugby ... but the reality of it all is there for those who will simply look and see.

South Africa haven’t come close to winning the Super Rugby tournament in many, many moons ... and you lot have had to wait for an ailing All Blacks side, riddled with the elderly ... and lead by a confused fool who is totally clueless of the masses of talent he has around him.

A new All Blacks coach is now on the cards. Let us see how quickly they bounce back.

Let us see what happens to Eddie Jones and his English side.  

Of all the matches you guys played this year, only one was note worthy, and that was against the hapless and out of sorts English side in the final. The rest were all average. A season definitely not worthy of the supposed "team of the year" .

You struggled against the Japanese (a 2nd tier side) and had to rely heavily on some favourable reffing to get the win ... you barely scraped past a struggling Welsh side and had the easiest of paths in the history of the competition to the final.

Now, you’re all loud and proud.

A simple comparison between Jake's boys and this quota side tells and interesting story.

Well ... we’ll see how long these Quota Goats hold onto the no1 ranking. I predict they'll be back to 4th or 5th, where they belong, by end 2020.

A new season is almost upon us. I look forward to seeing the "team of the year” dominate the world at test and Super Rugby level.

No CC, the Boks had a brilliant coach.

By throwing their pool game against NZ, he put the Boks on a much easier path to World Cup glory.

I fully understand your current frustrations, because I really do believe that a lot of your fellow posters here on this forum, feel and experience the same feelings when it comes to a lot of your points that you make

But for fucks sake...…….. at least enjoy the moment as a fellow South African

May I ask you a simple question - which players in the WC squad were in fact quota selections.   Name them and then suggest who should have been in the side ahead of them..

I do not believe in quota selections - but selections based on proven merit so I want proof that the selections made for the Springbok squad for the WC was in fact NOT based on merit

What Windpomp says about ou rooibozo appears to relate to the bozo's bitter complaint about quotas when his son was denied job opportunities. Prior to that the very hypocritical rooitwit wS all in favour of quotas and thought anybody denying the quota issue was a nazi. 

How the bozo has been found out. 

I NEVER agreed with quotas. 

I agree with CC about quotas. However let him name the quotas in the Bok set up. 

To me giving the captaincy to Kolisi was a quota move Rassie used to get the ANC off his back.

Not too sure about the above but what we do know is his non stop vitriol towards Jake and wanting the Boks to fail so as to justify his hate. Pakie in another blog exposed him as a hater of Jake and the Boks.

Bottom line is they are worthy winners of the Webb Ellis Rugby World Cup'

Sure some players selected do not satisfy or meet all our individual standards but they did gel to form a strong combin ed team with excellent coaching to do what needed to be done.

WIN.

Give them credit and support them rather than slamming them after this excellent display of rugby in the final.

I am sure we will be able to do all the slamming we normally do prior to the next WC, but at WC time we need to unit and support them.

Hopefully the next squad of players selected for the Springbok squad will include all our selections as well..........

Yes AJ, we should just be content for now...this was a fantastic achievement...go ask the Pom fans.

Carbuncle you may feel it was lucky.....others think it was an historic  accomplishment. I think it was was somewhat in the middle....a good WC win and actually a very impressive final. 

Were we lucky with the way the schedule worked out, sure, we are more vulnerable to mobile teams like the ABs and Oz. Were the Poms no shows in the final, sure, but we never let them get their heads up and the goal line stand will go down as one of the epic Bok moments.

Personally I don't believe this changes much for next year.....the Super Rugby and RC are different contests, played with more freedom. I doubt we will be able to summon up WC intensity, which is a big part of why we won.

So for me the great thing about our WC win is that we reestablished physical rugby as a dominant force in knockout rugby. And the biggest disappointment is that we never found a way to add a little to that old formula....something more than crash ball and attack on turnover ball. Yes there was some neat stuff with the 3 man pods and double tackles....but we never even brought an offside wing into play.

Without more arrows when intensity fades we will fall back into the pack. But the WC itself was a moment to enjoy. We proved we are still incredibly relevant in that format. And we proved Kolbe, Mapimpi, Am, the Beast and Bongi are all worthy Boks. Kolisi was more of a myth, but so was Teichmann in 99.

You don't like the Boks....but keep some perspective. Did you really want to lose to those truculent Poms ripping off their silver medals and not wholeheartedly congratulating  the winners. If there was an ugly team at the WC look no further than England.

Mozart ... yes ... the Goats played a brilliant final. I mentioned that. It's the best I've seen them play in a very log time.

They were pumped for the match ... totally zoned in ... however, getting that intensity back will take some doing.

It's like Frans Steyn in the 07 WC. He was zoned in ... played beyond his means ... and sadly never managed to build on that.

The English were poor and made the Goats look a little better than they were. It's a pity. I would have loved to see the same England that slaughtered the All Blacks against a zoned in Goats.

I understand why the English removed their medals. I don't think it was meant to disrespect the Goats ... or to come across as bad sports ... but rather that the belief they had in themselves was that of winners. They thought of themselves as better than mere runners-up.

I know you've never been a fan of the Poms or anything English.

I look forward to the coming season and what it brings. The Goats belong to the black man now and so I find myself rather curious. Will they go down the same road as the cricket team. Things usually turn to shit the moment they get their hands on it.
