can he hold his nerve and shrug off the threats of Rory and Tiger?....or will he choke like Adam Scott a few months ago? It's a good test for the lad, one that could set him on the road to becomming a legend of the game. I wish him all of the very best.... we can do with an Ernie replacement.

Denny

I watched the final round and Louis can only blame himself for losing this one.   On the fourth he hit a drive into the thicket and they could not even found th ball - had to take a drop and then made a double bogie.   For a while he was 2 strokes behind McIlroy as a result.   That changed when he made a birdie and he was one shot behind.   Then on 17 McIlroy made a complete bugger up with his drive - with Loiis in excellent position.   Second shot Louis made a complete hash of it and consequently both McIlroy and him made bogies.   The 18 was a repeat of the 17.    He still had a chance to draw level if he put in his put - but missed it.

Can make it in future - but he has to eliminate phsycohological shortcomings and go for the kill instead.

Not quite for Louis. Rory opened the door, but he couldn't walk through. Louis has it all....and good nerves. He showed that on that last, nasty chip at 18. It was a huge pity Bubba pipped him at the Maters with a huge amount of luck and freakish skill. Winning in the USA has become a bit of a challenge.

But Louis is firmly among the 10 best in the game....not so Schwartzel who has disappeared after his Masters win.

Tx guys, didn't get to see much, hung back for as long as I could this morning before  rushing off to work. So Moz, a keen golfer yourself, do you think  the kid has the X  factor to be #1?

Den to me he is more of an Ernie than a Tiger. Top 5, not number one I'd say.
