.....if these guys ever get their act together, that will be a blood curdling sound.
...
Fabulous game.....the Sunwolves exploited their instant reactions and speed to make this a great contest, The Stormers, bravely leaving key players at home .....found the answer and the Boks could learn from this. Basically play to your strengths, dont make it a contest on your opponents terms.
...
Du Preez who had a fabulous second half with two powerful runs eschewed the passing game for territory.....cleverly slowed the game and put through some fabulous tactical kicks. He used the kick on the first penalty phase with effect only to have the slightest of offsides deny the try.
...
Duvenhage continues to play like a pro as well. Not flashy, but few mistakes and great vision. I don't see any nine playing much better among the SA teams. Pity about Estadt who is a key player for this team.

Do you at last watch the game and missed that poor delayed kick of Du Preez that caused the elimination of a try by Viljoen.
My opinion about Du Preez is entirely different - since he is just a copy of the type of non-thinking game you adore. Most of his kicks were anything bar strategic/tactical - but you will not understand what is meant by strategic/tactical kicks and what is required in respect of such kicks.

Who praised that kick stupid? If it was to be praised the try would have been awarded - are you too dense to appreciate that? It was the worst I have seen in years - on par with the BS always provided by Morne and Fat Fransie. If Du Plessis used the tactic there would have been no problem with the try.

This is what your man Mallett said.....enjoy your massive omelette:
........
‘The TMO and the referee in the Sunwolves-Stormers game were speaking their second language, causing the confusion that led to Viljoen’s disallowed try. You can’t have a situation where the TMO clearly says "No clear evidence of offside, you may award the try" in mumbled fashion and then the referee, who has difficulties with his comms system at the best of times, just heard "no" and thought the TMO meant no try. In a game like this, the Stormers got the bonus-point win, so there are no repercussions. But say for example that was a match-winning try and a team needed those log points to get a home semi-final it could be a crucial mistake. Communication is vital and our TMOs and referees have to be able to communicate in a language they all understand.'
......
Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahaha...it just isn't your day, but then again it never is, lie down Flop.

Whatever happened - the try was disallowed and there shhoud have been no controversy in the first instance. Du Preez too much time in making the kick - if he did it timeously there would have been no controversy.

As Mallett pointed out the video ref said there was no problem with offside.....misinterpreted because the field ref couldn't hear him....and you blame that on du Preez?
..
I'll tell you what's happening here. You read my comment to Draad that I think du Preez may be a better test prospect than Du Plessis. That was enough for you to be forever biased against du Preez......even when he had a very strong game.
.....
It's so pathetic.

No = definitely not and I think there was way too many aimless kicks and that the Stormers backline - especially the first half - was a shambles. That was mainly die to Dn Kriel and also to Basson and Du Preez.
The second half was better. However, the only real prospectin that backline was EW Viljoen - the rest are not worth much.
The Stormers backline was better when they played the Jaguares - at least unlike the Sunwolves real opposition - with Du Plessis at flyhalf and De Allende and Viljoen in the center positions.
There is huge similarity between Du Preez, Pollard and Morne Steyn at flyhalf and that is not the way to go. They are - unless there is serious improvement in coaching a su re sign of being poor. I am still hoping that something could be done to rescue Pollard from the scrap heap he is on at present.
