Lucky Chiefs - but disaster is looming

The Chiefs won the game against the Bulls  with the active support of the referee and then got lucky against the Blues as well.

However, in the next six weeks they have to play the Reds, the Stoirmers and the Sharks away.   I give them a 60% chance to beat the Reds - but they have no chance to beat either the Stormers or the Sharks.   In NZ they have to play some difficult derbies as well and my guess is that they would be going nowhere on the log in the upcoming seven weeks.

Second rate the SA teams may be - but if they need referees assistance to beat these teams in NZ 
what are the NZ teams - third rate?  

I am afraid the referees decided come hell or high water the home teams must win an since the teams was not leading in the games - their shenanigans started and in the end the local teams were saved embarrassment with the assistance of the crooked referees.  

They will not have that luxury in SA.   That is why the Hurricanes lost their first away game against the Bulls and why the Chiefs had to be assisted by the ref to beat the Bulls and the Hurricanes needed even more assistance from the refs to win yesterday against the Sharks.

I accept that you will not credit the refs for helping the Chiefs and Hurricanes for their wins in the matches mentioned -  but of you cannot see that the teams win amtaches only with such assistance - then think again.         

Anyway - the Chiefs have to play two games in SA - not a good sign for NZ teams and in this case the Chiefs.

Next year the moans about away by NZ supporters will be endless since the games will be reversed and NZ teams will have o play more away in SA matches as is the case this year,   .  

...notsoclevermike on a fishing expedition again...the Chiefs have climbed some pretty tall mountains to get where they are... having overcome the loss of many key players overseas and their coach to Glasgow...not to mention being ravaged by countless injuries...and suffering the igonimy of becoming the most penalised team in the comp ... but the Chiefs seem to thrive on adversity...they set a record for the most wins over another team on the weekend....and i'm sure they'll be under no illusions as to how difficult it will be to win in SA- nothing much has changed since 1949...

...aside from the Canes the biggest challenge facing the Chiefs is the AB camp in May which coincides with the Chiefs tour of SA...touring without the teams ABs is not exactly the ideal situation...Hansen wants NZ franchises to rest their AB players for two games but maybe he could settle for a packet of biscuits instead..
