Zeilinga is a real talent so its nice for him to get a shot. Esterhuizen at 104kg looks a promising centre. I trust the notion of turning big fast backs into loose forw ards has bitten the dust by now - what a lot of talent was spoiled by that!

I do not doubt that Zeilinga did some good things on lower level - but I have also seen him being out of depth at times.
I have also seen enough of how Francois Steyn destroy the backline by poor performances as a backline player. His goal kicking is his only redeeming factor - th rest is pure and simple BS.
The following backline will show some real life in games to follow:-
15 Marais, 14 Pietersenm, 13 Jordaan, 12 Esterhuizsen, 11 Mvovo. 10 Swiel, 9 Mcleod.

Swiel looked completely out of sorts if you ask me. The occasion was too much for him.
Somehow I don't think he expected to come on so soon and it rattled him. He wasn't ready for it mentally.
Same thing goes for Esterhuizen. No doubt a talent ... but very green ... it showed.
I am sure Jake has already made a decision regarding who his starting 10 will be. He needs a settled head steering the ship. I reckon his only choice is the useless Steyn.
Losing Jordaan, PSDT and now Lambie will certainly test the Sharks.
They can thank their lucky stars Folau isn't playing against them this weekend.

I have read about Swiel, the reality last Saturday was underwhelming. If this young chap was playing in NZ there would be no talk other than he was a promissing youngster. Maybe Zeilinga is the new Boshoff, but I also hope the Sharks go with Fransie....for their own sakes, and for South African rugby. We need a different equation at 10, and it has to be a physical one. The Boks will never play the wide open rugby that needs/benefits from a Goosen. They could benefit from physicality in 10 channel. Many of the other candidates will fade away in the brutal heat of top rugby....it's between the two Steyns and perhaps B oshoff, all good options, but we should give ourselves the choice.

That might be the only 3 options for the Boks, but I would stick with Morné and Boshoff for the Boks (on current form), but I can't actually see any other option than FS for the Sharks. The two greenhorns will be slaughtered home and away against the better teams. Especially down under. Jake won't risk it, much too conser vative.

Jake White like Bulls style of Rugby, so Zinger Burger may be a better option for up and unders etc.
He should either stick with Tim Swiel, as having him on the bench only to give him less than one game and sub a substitute is not showing much faith.
Jake White looked like he was panicking vs the Bulls when the Camera was on him.
Frans Steyn would be my starting 10, with Swiel on the bench.

If Francois Steyn is the Sharks flyhalf on Saturday they will definitely lose the game. His all-round performances at both center and flyhalf was the poorest I have seen of any SA player in those two positions this year. You shout and scream about his goal kicking - but Steyn has leaked tries and penalties as well and the rest of his game an insult to logic.
Steyn's ball protection is poor - his passing game questionable - his defense a joke in bad taste - and leaking penalties is in rugby terms criminal.
Anybody wanting him in the Springbok team must really hate the Springboks - otherwise they should not wish such a disaster on them.
If Steyn continues the way he is playing and keep on under-performing I think White will sooner rather than later be forced to go the Plumtree way and bench him.

Which adults - definitely not you. Your opinion about Steyn being at 10 for any team is lunacy or childish. I would give you the benefit of doubt and rate it as childish - devoid of any logic.
