Did not know about that.   If borne in the USA he may have the right to citizenship of the USA.   However, that is not a certaincy - it also depends on the situationship status of his parents.

If he can claim citizenship of the US - he would qualify to play for them on international level.   He is unlikely to make further progress in his local career in SA  - so that may for him be a wise thing to do.

This should really be an option he should investigate, as he clearly won't make the bok side.

That would make it 2 players from the same UCT side eligible for the USA, that is if he qualifies, with JJ Gagiano the other one. what a rare occurence.
