Maria Sharapova is back

At the US Open, after serving a heavy handed drugs ban, Sharapova prevailed in a stellar first round match over Halep....a very tough opponent. Normally this would have been a Semi, but Maria wasn't seeded because she hasn't played a Grand Slam match for 19 months....so it was an unusual match up. Tough on Halep as well. . Back came the physical elegance, big shots clipping lines and brave play on the big points....the woman's game has just become a whole lot more interesting.

 The ultimate come-back kid this Sharapova.

Nope, you have come up with one of many solutions for each equation....but plug those solutions in the other equation and they don't work. We need a solution that solves both. I guess Standard 6 is too advanced. Shall I give you a Standard 3 problem?

Still struggling Tokkie? Well let me help .....you multiply the first equation by 2.....subtract it from the second equation. . That gives you 3X=18, so X=6.... . and then substitute 6 for X in the first equation and you get 6+ 2Y= 20......so Y=7. .. Finally substitute those in the second equation and 5x6 + 4x7 = 58 as required so the solution is right. ... Obviously Std 6 was too hard, and obviously you don't have the right to call anybody on this Board a moron, moron.
