Match attendance

 Most people took a break after the S15. Add to that the fact that some stayed away to rather watch the Boks play on TV. The stadiums will be full this weekend.  Newlands already sold out.

Saff, too much other rugby of higher intensity/importance. The year kicks off with Super Rugby, the best club rugby in the world. Then it is straight into the June internationals. Then more Super Rugby, then Rugby Champs. After such an extended period of rugby at the highest possible level, it is difficult to get into what is actually a first division competition....bar the last couple of weeks. 
Another gripe I have is that the non-Springbok players that give everything during the majority of the Currie Cup season, get shafted by the returning Springboks at the glory end of it. Its not fair. There needs to be a complete overhaul of the Currie Cup or else the stadiums will just keep on getting more and more empty, until the Currie Cup becomes nothing more than a formality. 

Newlands does have one fundamental problem . . . the seats all face the wrong way!

Still time to congratulate WP Rip......waaaaaahahaha.  

There is one issue of importance here - and that is the financial situation in the country.  Most people struggle to make ends meet and it is not always possible to find money for attendance of games.   What was said about the test issue is also pertinent - so I am not particularly worried about the present low attendance.  It will look up in the semi-finals and final . 

 I'm talking about every weekend of the CC and the S15 games were hardly sold out either
