has to go down as one of the worst selections ever after the performance against Japan.

When is that idiot Meyer ever going to learn, that while experience counts for something, poor form should never be rewarded, especially when there are youngsters who are 10 times the players

Lood vs Matfield and Kriel vs Jean.......are no brainers unless you are Meyer or a few ignorant idiots on this board

How can a national coach make decisions like this????

Thank heavens we only have a few more matches under this sad excuse of a coach.

I cant wait for the day he is shown the door

If the Springboks loses on Saturday - and I only give them a 30% chance of winning - Meyer should submit his letter of resignation and start finding a hiding place to hide from the disgrace he has brought SA Rugby to.

Kriel over Jean on present form. The team that beat the abs that is close to your top side. But hey keep Meyer .

The Samaoners will be physical or try to be. So what does Meyer do? He drops the worlds most physical hooker from the match 23!!!
As bad is he then selects the worst and most unphyscial lock around - wee matfiled - and does not play the superb Lood! The mind boggles!
Dr Mozzzzzzzzzzzz can talk about barking dogs but this is stunning stupidity.I am NOT saying its now automatic we will lose. The side selected is better than the one for Japan and there is no tomorrow and the Boks will surely give their all.
Whilst I would prefer the outstanding combo of Allende and Kriel, the playing of Jean, who was not as bad as some are suggesting, is not in the same league as these other two major BLUNDERS.
Hoping that dispite Meyer we can win against Samoa and make the playoffs.
The big issue actually is will South Africa ever embrace the professional era and start to address the various issues I listed more than once.Ou Biltong Bek attempted a remedial action plan but it was very lightweight - the oaks on roar are short on substance and long on words! Bwhahahahahahahaha

Luke, nice of you to agree with Beenz that the Boks beat the allblacks this year. We might have beaten you, but you still won the match.I do however agree that the team that played the Allblacks this year is probably closest to our best team. Some improvements are still possible too.

I'd even say that Beast and Jannie are poor selections now, Nyakane is far better than the Beast and Jannie is just God awful.

Listening to Boots&All tonight - the panel (both Mallett and Kempson) said that against Samoa Kriel and DE Jager should have started - since they are physical enough to face the Samoan onslaught and that De Villiers and Matfield should have been on the bench and not in the starting line-up

Oh yeah we did win that one. Maybe because you outplayed us most of the match lol it felt that way. But of course to beat ABS you need to play 80, SA didn't NZ did simple. Not the strongest team that one, but better then the current one.

We lost it when the bench came on. Fcked up the rhythm and some poor selections on the bench too. But our midfield did well against the best in thd game.

Just a question - is the opinions expressed by you on this site just stirring or do you really believe the BS you write here?   I sincerely hope not the latter,

Kriel is the obvious choice for the 13 jersey ... within the squad that's there currently ... not so sure I'd retain him after the world cup though.

Much prefer Vorster and Mapoe. They're stronger on their feet and better defensively.

Damian is the best 12 we have. By some way. He should have started last week.

The coach just keeps getting it wrong. Poor sod!!!

Can't see the forest for the trees!

Not a fan of Lood either but let's face it, he's streets ahead of the useless Matfield.

Geez CC when are you going to wake up to how good Lood is? You need to look past that baby face......that is the second time at test level he has

As for Kriel......at 97kg he is more than physical enough on his feet.......Vorster is bigger and stronger but he does not have the speed and creativity of Kriel. You cant beat his speed and feet at the highest level. He is a real gem and will go down as a Bok great.

Mapoe is a solid player but would be at best solid at test level. Kriel is twice the player......its not even close.

Big fan of Vorster, had he been fit he would have made my Bok squad along with Kriel, de Allende and Serfontein.

With Victoria and Jean in the starting line up it is the same as starting a game with two yellow cards.
Then you add the other oldies and guess what......Yep u get beaten.
Same old, same old.

Haaaaaaahahahahahahaa!!

Sorry, Dave. I just can't get to grips with Lood.

I've tried ... it's just not happening.

Kriel has pace an good feet. No argument there. I'll give Kriel a decent shot before I make up my mind on the lad.

Meyer needs to select him at 13 consistently ... not chop and change him like he did Lambie.

I'm so tired of this coach.

Fire him already.
