Mckenzie almost gifts the game to the Landers.

Damien Mckenzie made one fabulous long pass early but two charge downs and three turnovers helped the Landers . Only for them to blow the game, in possession, on the Chiefs one metre line with time running out. I'd have to say it was a mixed bag from McKenzie.....a lot of lateral running looking for space, poor line kicks and charge downs. And old man Ben Smith still had enough gas to haul him in from behind on one occasion. Given Etzebeth gassed Ben without too much difficulty it was a little surprising.

Documented fact....happened in the RC in 2014, Etzebeth gassed Smith. I reported on it at the time.

I'm sure Smith will outpace almost any forward in Super Rugby....but on the day he struggled to close the gap on Etzebeth. Just a little curiosity.
