Either at hooker or openside flanker, this guy is a must for the boks.
We need players that are good at rucks. Most of the season the boks were poor in ruck play. Deon Fourie is exceptional at rucks. WP played very well today, but Deon Fourie must take man of the match. Ezbeth is close, but Fourie takes it.
Deon Fourie is much better than the other joker Tian Libenberg and the Sharks hooker that is 3rd choice bok.
Deon Fourie is also better than Francois louw who is one of the form boks
What I would do is to select him ad use him from the bench to cover both the Hooker and Loosie positions. he is a much better player than Burden and he could in fact play effectively in both positions.
I am not too in favour of Deon as a hooker as he is not a great scrummager. I would like to see him given a shot at 6. Put Louw at 7 and vermuelen at 8. NH sides tend to scrum well
I'm with Beeno as for him being hooker. Would like him off the bench as loose foward cover, and hooker if neccessary. He's a sparkplug, and a little ball of energy. The guy plays the game the right way and has rugby smarts that you just can't teach. He's at least earned a chance to wear a bok Jersey with the year he's had.

after the super XV i said that deon fourie should have been selected for the Boks and IMO he should win SA player of the year.
he has been sensational for the stormers and after that awesome CC final, i gave him the uchiha clan for man of the match, de jong was solid, but deon fourie was by far the best IMO.
I think Meyer's selections are going to cost us dearly in future. I think that he is clueless about player performances and I am on the point of giving up support of the Springbok team as a whole as the result of his crazy team selection. It is better to support winning teams than a set of clueless losers that should not be in the team at all.
After another three test losses - that is really a near certainty - I suppoe all hell will break lose. Meyer will deservedly so be in the firing line and I will have zero sympathy for him if that happens.
