Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer chose to answer his fiercest critic – former Bok coach Peter de Villiers – in the best way possible, refusing to be drawn into the web of negativity spouted by the former coach regarding the Boks.

Meyer named eight players of colour in his 31 man squad – one more than De Villiers in 2011 – but has been the subject of attacks from the former Bok coach over the past month which have become increasingly bitter and personal.

Meyer refused to be drawn into the debate (That is a wise move debating this clown is a waste of time), despite being accused of “taking Springbok rugby back into the gutters” by De Villiers and decided instead to praise the former coach and call on him to use his talents to help rugby grow in all communities. 

“I truly respect Peter de Villiers as a coach and a human being,” Meyer said (Nonsense who can do that! ).

“I think he’s done a lot of good things for South African rugby. He’s a great diplomat for South Africa (BE HONEST MEYER PODV IS A LAUGHING STOCK!!!). He’s made a difference to people’s lives, and hopefully he can still be involved in South African rugby HOPEFULLY NOT AT ANY SENIOR LEVEL!).HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WHAT UTTER BULLDUST!)

“We need guys who can make a difference at grassroots level. I wish him the best of luck for the future.” (OKAY MAYBE GHE COULD COACH AN UNDER 10 SIDE!!)

Bok captain Jean de Villiers spoke briefly on how difficult it was for the players to come to terms with the attacks, and the increased pressure it put the Boks under.

“From a player point of view it’s been tough. For me it was tough losing that game to Argentina having waited so long to play again. And a lot happened in that week,” De Villiers said.

“I think in a way it made us stronger as a squad. And we learned from those obstacles. I saw how much we’d grown as a squad. When you saw the emotions of those who made and didn’t make it. We’ve become closer together.

“There will always be critics, and I think it’s because people want the Boks to do well. And that’s good if it’s coming from the heart. I’m open to that. Once you lose interest in Bok team, then we are in trouble.”

SARU Deputy-President Mark Alexander said at the team announcement that SARU were satisfied that the Bok squad had met their transformation requirements.

“We’re happy where we are with our transformation initiative. We signed an agreement with the government and Sascoc. There are six dimensions, and performance is one.(MAN ARE WE NOT LUCKY THAT PERFORMANCE IS ONE OF THE CRITERIA!!!!!) Currently, if you check our barometer, we are at 92%. We’re on track. We’re happy with where we are. We can do better, but we are happy,” he added. 
NOW WHEN THE IRB READ THINGS LIKE THIS SHOULDNT THEY THINK OF BANNING THE BOKS. I WOULD FULLY SUPPORT THIS. WORLD SPORTING BODIES COULD ALSO BAN OTHER SA SPORTS UNTIL THE ANC CHUCKS OUT ITS RACIST POLICIES.MEANWHILE WE COULD WATCH THE TENNIS A ND GOLF. OUR RUGBY PLAYERS COULD EARN BIG BUCKS OVERSEAS WHICH WILL NOT BE TAXED IN SA! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Do you guys recall what happened when PM/President (BJV) of RSA  refused to allow Basil D to tour with the MCC...we were thrown out of international sport overnight.
Now the ANC are insisting on including black players in the national rugby squad irrespective if they are up to standard or not. 
So what does the world rugby board do.....diddly squat!!!!!!!
Sad to be white, a sport lover, non racist and observe these double standards being applied and allowed to continue..

I just wish to add that if the Springbok team consisted of 15 black players selected on merit they would have me supporting them 100%.
WELL, WHY BE THE BEST WHEN YOU CAN BE SECOND OR THIRD BEST.

 Thanks Vlag,  I  didn't know that. Good to know that it's not only us A.f. r. i. k. a. n. e. r. s and the Nazzi's to blame for racial bias in the world. Now for the new generation to realise that bad history does not justify reversed discrimination in the present.  It seems some people on this site thinks it's justifiable if the discrimination is against people they deem to be deserving of some retribution.  Funny how blind people can be to something when it suits the agends.  Same prejudice as Hitler,  just the oposing pole,  but that's OK because its the opposite?  100%... wrong.
