Meyer's squad selection is still problematic

Meyer has announced the following squad selection and the following was included:- FORWARS Lourens Adriaanse, Willem Alberts, Marcel Coetzee, , Bismarck du Plessis, Jannie du Plesis, Pieter-Steph du Tpit, Eben Etzebeth, Siya Kolisis, Juandre Kruger, Francois Louw, Tendai Mtawarir, Coenie Oosthuizen, Chilliboy Ralepelle, Gurthro Steenklamp, Adriaan Staruss, Flp van der Merwe, Duane Vermeulen BACKS Bjorn Basson, Juan de Jongh, Jean de Villoiers, Fourie du Preez, JJ Engelbrecht, Bryan Habana, Zane Kirchner, Patrick Lambie, Willie le Roux, Ruan Pienaar, Jan Serontein, Morn Steyn, Jano Vemaak WHERE MEYER REMAINS IN DENIAL What the hell does he think the following proven failures as players will bring to the table, but a bad loss against the All Blacks:- * Willem Alberts - the prop who masquerade as a loosie * Juandre Kruger - who can call line-outs, but is otherwise useless * Jannie du Plessis - wy past his sell by date * Grthro Steenkamp - the fat flop who is useless in scrumming * Flip van der Merwe - the penalty machine who cannot jump in line-outs * Chilliboy Rallepele - obviously a BEE selection * Bjorn Basson - a failure who proved again yesterday he cannot tackle * Juan de Jognh - perhaps Meyer did not see his tackle stats this year - useless in attack * Zane krrichner - the absolute failure at full back - wonderful for opposition beause he cannot tackle to save his life; * Ruan Pienaar - who was hopeless in all the games he played in this year * Morne Steyn - one-dimensional and a hopeless failure in the test at Eden Park. Eleven of the 28 players are there as proven failures in tests. What does Meyer hope to achieve with them? I can see the following selections for the game against Australia this coming weekend:- 15 Zane Kirchner, 14 Willie le Roux, 13 JJ Engelbrecht, 12 Jean de Villiers (c), 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Morne Steyn, 9 Fourie du Preez, 8 Duane vermeulen, 7 Willem Alberts, 6 Francois Louw, 5 Juandre Kruger, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Jannie du Plessi, 2 Adriaan Strauss, 1 Tendai Mtawarire Replacements : 16 Bismarck du Plessis, 17 Gurthro Steenkamp, 18 Coenie Oosthuizen, 19 Pieter-Steph du Toit, 20 Siya Kolisi, 21 Ruan Pienaar, 22 Patrick Lambie, 23 Jan Serfontein The above contains 4 proven failures and 1 dubious selection. Because the Walklabies has been weak this year - the Springboks may yet win on Saturday. However, with that lot - and especially the useless full back and the totally inept loosie combination a loss against the All Blacks is guaranteed.

But seriously why does Coonie not start all the time ? I have allways rated that lad.

And as for poor old Morne Steyn ,I think he's barely clinging to this dimension hahahaha!

 Pretty good squad with a few exceptions. Quota players exaggerate the deficiencies. Chilli boy, Kolisi and Juan really dont deserve to be there. Steenkamp will not be there next year as Malherbe and Kitshoff come on stream.

Big disapointment for me is the absence of Deon Fourie who could be needed on the highveldt.

Nevertheless one expects the Boks to account for oz and the wee abs.

Clearly Meyer is on the right track and building the Boks up. One wouldd have thought the way the bulle lost with all their youngsters against the Lions a lesson should have been learned  - don't go over board with youth. Meyer is keeping a nice balance here.
