Who is the youngsters in this squad?   Lets analyse them a bit and find out how many are not experienced players on international level:-

Mvovo

Daniel

Coetzee

Etzebeth

Strauss

Cilliers

Potgieter

Some of the above players have played on Super 14 level for years and cannot really be described as young squad players - they may be new in the Springbok set-up are in fact Mvovo, Coetzee, Potgieter and Etzebeth.

The main achievers have not been Coetzee and Etzebeth - yes Coetzee did not play as well as he did in the other tests and in Super 15 - but he is still highly-rated in rugby circles in Australia and New Zealand and will come through.

Mvovo is still very inexperienced - but he is really a fringe player standing in for Pietersen.

I wonder whether Meyer thinks he can bluff some people by that baloney - but many people will see through the facade and realise that it is a very flimsy excuse for failures

 Mike, my sentiments exactly

The team has players like Habana and Jean who are amongst the most capped backline players ever. The scrum front 5 have very seasoned players(only Etzbeth being a new player).

He has to give some reason/excuse for the slop dished up last weekend. He is to stuborn to admi his game plan is wrong- and certainly some of the players selections. The worst bieng borining Morne.

This is just drivel saying that he needs time to build the team. We can give him time with newer players who deserve to be the starting xv, especially new players. Not the Bulls has been and never will beens

i agree mike and sharkbok as always

good coaches dont make excuses. they players that are there are talented enough to compete with the best. he is just trying to divert attention away from his flawed game plan and tactics. he got it wrong for the past 5 odd games. the poms never exposed us (shows how bad england was) so he rode his luck to a extend. now when we play the bigger boys of world rugby we draw against the 8th ranked team in the world. only real super stars are lobbe and hernandez. the rest are just french club level players. it says a lot of the HM game plan.

nobody buys into this unless your beeno. he will believe anything he reads.

the squad he chose for the overseas leg looks better and more dynamic with the players in there but how his game plan/ players selections wil change i am not sure. if there same obesession with donkey players persist meyer wont be around for much longer that i can assure you
