Mozart will obviously be happy with your Meyer's team selecton for the WC. It would be the oldest WC team ever as it would include no less 9 members from the glorious 2007 WC squad/team. He would conveniently forget that the core team was also responsible for the 2010 ad 2011 bullshit performances. Of the remaining six players 4 were in the 2011 disaster squad/team.
That would be a painful experience to watch how out
team get butchered because of the old age addiction.
However, I have a feeling Bakkies is on his way out. I think that anybody will b better than Alberts as a loosie - so Smith will represent a slight improvement. Of the rest I think that Meyer would ultimately forget about some players as they will prove not to be good enough. Fourie, and Schalk (with his injury problems) may be two of those. I think that Meyer would never give up on Matfield and Morne - even if they are piss poor in the RC - Blue Bulls Blood is thicker than water.
By the time of the RC Jannie would have done enough damage to be sent packing. There are still some time to make changes - but the time is running short.

I hope so.
Bakkies must have torn something when he dashed for the try line.
Those damn old hammies ...

Hopefully Meyer realized that Bakkies Botha's performances do not match his reputation - but since he used to be coached by Meyer - that is unlikely to happen. This bloody Blue Bulls fascination is going to cost us dearly in times to come.

PDV too? I think he would at least not be as addicted to Blue Bulls and Ex-Blue Bulls players like Meyer is.

Yes, I would rather have PDV than Meyer and I am not bullshitting......PDV was poor but he never made as many pathetic selections as Meyer has this year

PDV never made any selections at all! White's left over senior players did that for him. I am sorry Saff, I get that Meyer's team has been dug up from the distant past and that pisses me off too, but PDV was a complete clown! Meyer is uber conservative, but his getting results. His vision ends 2cm in front of his nose, but he is getting results.

PDV was the one who first selected Morne Steyn........ He also got John Smit to get out of his contact with Clermont Auvergne and brought him back, etc. The moment that Matfield got out of his contract with Toulon, PDV had him back in the Bok team as well.

As long as you are or were a member of the Blue Bulls squad - preferably previously coached by Meyer - you are home and dry when it comes to teams election. He thrives on pally-pally selections with no regard to actual performances.
That is why he selects players like Morne Steyn and Gurthru Steenkamp - not acceptable by their clubs as starting team members. Then also there is of course his real close pals - Matfield and Botha.
There is no merit in Meyer's selections - he sticks with the players who according to him performed well in 2012 = irrespective f how they performs at present.
That makes him a backward looking coach - with no regard for the way forward. Bluebok is right about the following quotation:-
"Meyer is uber conservative, but his getting results. His vision ends 2cm in front of his nose ..."
