Meyer is a miracle man - a bloody fool at best. He picked a squad with more foreign based players than there are Cheetahs in the squad. Matter of fact the squad are made up of the following:- Bulls - 9 players Sharks - 5 players Stormers - 5 players Foreign - 5 players Cheetahs - 4 players Lions - 1 player Now lets look at Meyer's likely team:- 15 Zane Kirchner, 14 Bjorn Basson, 13 JJ Engelbrecht, 12 Jean de Villiers, 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Morne Steyn, 9 Fourie du Preez, 8 Duane Vermeulen, 7 Willem Alberts, 6 Francois Louw, 5 Juandre Kruger, 4 Eben Etzebeth, 3 Jannie du Plessis, 2 Bismarck du Plessis, 1 Beast, 16 Adriaan Struass, 17 Coenie Oosthuizen, 18 Guthro Steenkamp, 19 Flip van der Merwe, 20 Marcell Coetzee, 21 Ruan Pienaar, 22 Pat Lambie, 23 Jan Serfontein. That leaves a question mark as to Willie le Roux. Unless Meyer picks him at 14 - leaving out Basson - there will be no place for hi in the starting line up or on the bench - since they have to have a cover at scrummie and flyhalf - whilst Serfontein is an absolute certainty. My guess is that since Meyer does not really rate backline play - Le Roux will not be in the match day set up. Meyer has always been a dolt insofar as team selection is concerned - and I think the team to be announced next week will be no exception. Lets see how far I am out - I do not expect many differences though.

I think in the inclusion of Le Roux in the starting 15 or not is too hard to predict, Meyer has shown that he likes Le Roux by playing him in June but then he reverts back to a conservative approach by including Du Preez.

The only difference with your team and Meyer's will be fullback, that's my two cents.

Shezza I am sorry - but I believe that Le Roux was only selected because Kirchner was injured and not match fit when the June squad was announced. I think Meyer will not play Le Roux at 15 - the only faint chance he has to get into the term would be at14 - but still think that Meyer would stick with Basson. There will be an outcry - and Meyer would ignore it. He has a believe in players that does not deliver - because they have a reputation or are Blue Bulls players. I like some Blue Bulls players - but that do not include players like Basson, Kruger and Van der Merwe. However, lets wait and see what the final team looks like and then start shouting and screaming. However, I expect that it will be another dud selection.

I don't think Meyer could ignore the brilliance of a fullback who joins the line as Le Roux did. I'll save my final opinion till then!

I'm the most annoyed at Labuschagne not being there!

i agree with mike....expect meyer to pick his stock standard players like zane and co...so dont expect any fireworks from the boks come RC...

he will only see the one dimensional game plan that meyer just loves to play. if meyer pitches up with the same type of game pattern dont be surprised to see meyer out by the door this year still
