Is there a loose forward playing for the Stormers.....useless at the breakdown, useless in cover defence. The idea that 2 of these guys could be playing for the Boks is a joke.

Stormers with all the ball and territory but just not converting it to points. Will the Lions tire late in the game?

Stormers cross the line but a knock on in the lead up negates the score.

Actually the pass to Vermaak looked forward and the grounding looked like a dropped ball as well.

Worst half of Stormers rugby ever? Stephanie has to move back to lock and we need a proper blindside flank. The defensive alignment is a disaster. Willemse needs a lot more time before he should get anywhere near a test. Move Lleyds to fullback.

Hi DB, stormers doing all the work, Lions scoring most of the points. PSDT is doing ok so don't take commentary from Moz too seriously

A yellow card against the Lions, is it the same situation as in the Canes game? Is the ref helping the helpless stormers? An investigation is called for

Penalty try for the stormers. Not exactly a great game but Lions showed they are a level above the hapless stormers.

It was one of those games....the ball bounced badly every time. But the Stormers defensive alignment was stunningly bad.

Rugby 365 article contained the following:

" Man of the match: Pieter-Steph du Toit was by some distance the Stormers' most productive player. For the Lions, it was the usual suspects - Malcolm Marx, Franco Mostert and Albertus Smith. Ruan Combrinck made a satisfactory return from injury. There is also Madosh Tambwe's four tries. However, our award goes to Lions flyhalf Elton Jantjies, who schooled Stormers counterpart Damien Willemse."

PSDT had a really good game. Willemse still a work in progress imo. If they rush him he will end up on the scrap heap along with a long list of other SA hopefuls.

PSDT MUST start off loading.

Willemse s not yet ready to be Bok flyhalf. But could he be played somewhere else.  How about at 13 as a llne breaking outsi de center?

Another game not televised, or at least I could not find it on Sky.  Jantjies bulled Willemse by the sounds of things.

Willemse has to be given time.....he has the attributes....he has to see more 'experiments' and their results to improve his decision making. Steph is actually playing better this year. But his defence is still vulnerable and he has to make beating a tackler pay off, with an offload. That said he provides no open field defence and breakdown protection. The man is a lock. Combrink was literally pulled down by Wilco in open field....and missed more than half his tackles, has a decent boot though. We have a terribly weak center combination defensively...how two big guys like Allende and Viljoen let the wing punch over the line beats me. Allende missed 5 of his 8 tackles and that doesn't count the time Jantjies bamboozled him so badly he never even attempted a tackle. Kitshoff was a major disappointment as well....a poor scrumming effort from him. As for Kolisi.....another invisible game.

This is why I don’t miss this site it’s the same old bullshit. Kitshoff by far the best loosehead in the game is apparently being beasted in the scrums and JC is an improvement when he comes on - bullshit Combrink is slow - bullshit de Allende who is back to his best this season is being beasted like Kitshoff is - bullshit The Stormers loosies are kak - bullshit, Kolisi has been immense for seasons now, Wasps are desperate to sign Carr permanently as he made such a huge impact for them Willemse is not test ready - bullshit he is not that I’d select him ahead of Jantjies It’s the same old prejudicial bullshit on here. Imagine questioning the credentials of Kitshoff who has been brilliant all season

If you don't want to see what is actually happening on the field of play vs what you think should be happening based on your biases Dave, don't bother. Kitshoff had a poor game. He was penalized once at the scrum, missed Tambwe for one of his tries .......and the scrum was much better after he was off. Frankly I was surprised by that, I expected him to dominate Dreyer, shockingly he came off second best. Have you even seen the game.
