We need to win or else it maybe tickets. The all wallaby pack has huge motivation so this wont be a walk in the park.

However we can hope that the boys will be and song and put these puffed up warts away.

Trust ref will behave.

warts have a lucky try. However our own problem is the slippery ball which we are dropping too often.

Stormers need to start more attacking moves.

Nice to foloau getting thumped.

Go Stormers work these warts over! Lance the supurations! Bwahahahahahhaha

Who was that complete twit who swung at Vermuelen? Was that a red card?

Hard luck Stormers!!  Bryan ya nutter!

Anyone tell me why Malherbe was subbed? Why Van der Heever was never used?

Man so many close losses!  Highest loss is by 8 points. So easily could have been a win again.

What they have to do is drop Kolisi and put Deon at 6. Bezuidenhout at hooker.

Drop De Jongh and Aplon and put in Allende and Van Der Heever. Stormers are physically outgunned in the back three.

Above all WP must get on their knees and beg Mallet or a proper coach to take over. No flair in backline. Listen to what Mallet is saying. Talks so much sense.

Cant keep the ball too long as playing too many small players who lose in contacts. Thus they cannot get their balance between attack and defence right.

Now listen to Mallet saying exactly what I have said so many times. he names the snall Stormers backs and loosing contct.

Beeno and Mallet on the same page, Dumbo Alistair needs to be rubbed out.

Mallet will be swiftly turning the page once he realises you are on it Hasbeeno!

Mild Zephyrs and Hasbeeno on the same page.......same old, same old!

It's pathetic when you gauge how well your team isn't doing by calculating it's highest loss. How many "neutral draws" have they had??

Beeno "Bok backline flair" are 3 words that should never be used in conjuction especially with the Stormers or current Bok team. Would have better luck finding Sasquatch or Lochness monster.

Why did I know ou poly would get it all out of perspective. Warts squeaked thsi one at home. Defence amost won the game.

however as i ahve said for some time we need to attack more. BUT as Beeno and Mallet, two rugby sages, agree you cant take the ball wide etc with a small center, a midget wing and a small fullback. With Grant out and also Taute Joe has to play. But why nott play Allende at almost 100 kgs and Van der Heever also at 100 kgs.

I also trust  those tauting Kolis as a Bok 6 are waking up. The kid is bearly coping. Hence alistair who is cocking up the selctions big time, should be playing Fourie at 6 and Bez at hooker.

I think it has been the Injuries to Tiaan and Grant that have most fouled matters up although the many other injuries have not helped for sure.. Heaped on that is the coaches inability to understand the balance needed between attack  and defence.

So its been a very unlucky season for SA's  two top sides the Mighty Stormers and the Sharkies. But who knows if there are not a few twists to the tail.

What has been pleasing this season is the improvement in the Bulle and Cheetahs. Given normal circumstances we had the squads to have, in my opinion, 4 of the top 8? But lady luck has frowned on us this year as have the disgusting nz refs - solution is to ban them.

It happens in sport oaks so no unwarranted chest beating by the uninformed please.

Beeno when you think linearly like you do, perspective is something you'll never get a grasp on and hence you misinterpret a reply to a comment made by you saying "no flair in backline" The "bok" word was added by myself for dramatic effect.... maybe too much artistic license on my part. Was impressed by Bekker this game, Etzebeth was not seen for most of game...ring rust???????

Regarding Etzebeth, maybe he's suffering the sophomore blues, where in you have players who have stellar first seasons or two then suddenly their form takes a dive in subsequent seasons until they end up playing in European or Japanese leagues. Hopefully not because he is a player with huge potential, but this is what I meant few posts back when I said he hasn't produced consistently or been a game changer to be considered the best lock in the game. And still maintain that Ali Williams was a better skilled and rounded player at the same age.

Etzebeth had a good game and will get better still. Awesome Bok pack can be picked.

Although a complete twit I know likens some FACTS I give to the excuses government here makes for poor perfomance this half wit needs to know he has no clue - as per usual. Bwahahahahahahaha.

Comments re nat bal are only one factor.

Come here and make such comments and I will put you both right.  You need some rugby education oaks and its free.

Found this by Gavin Rich on Supersport

The surface was wet in Sydney Please note meanou) but that can’t be used as an excuse for the Stormers’ poor ball retention skills (Not an excuse but a fact -if you know the differnce), and there were also too many occasions where the field kicking was poor too, such as one in the first half where the Stormers won a lineout against the Waratahs throw and then Gary van Aswegen kicked it dead.

And then there was the poor Dewaldt Duvenage box kick that conceded a silly penalty which led to the field position from which the Waratahs launched for their first try.

That came against the run of play just beyond the end of a first quarter the Stormers had dominated.

A question had been asked of Stormers captain De Villiers during the week of whether he was concerned that the bigger Waratahs back three players might be able to force pressure through aerial attack, and that is exactly what happened, with Bernard Foley’s cross kick finding Folau, who reached up above Habana’s turned head and in front of Pietersen to put Cam Crawford through for the try on his inside.

The lack of big physical specimens like a Sireli Naqelevuki is at the heart of the Stormers’ lack of ambition when it comes to running the ball wide, for smaller players do just get turned over too easily, and it may be no coincidence that the Stormers’ last half decent try-scoring Super Rugby season was 2010, when Naqelevuki was still playing for them. (NOW PLEASE NOTE HOW I SAID THIS YEARS AGO AND REPEATEDLY THIS YEAR. BUT MOZ AND OTRHERS WANT THE BACKLIEN PACKED WITH SMALL PLAYERS!! GO FIGURE!!!)

As it stands right now, they’ve scored 17 tries in 10 games, and while their defensive game remains impressive and nearly won them this match, the statistics do tell the story of why the Stormers are now languishing in 10th position with six games to go.

Put plain and simply, increments of three aren’t a good enough way to keep the scoreboard ticking over if the opposition have a game-breaker as superb as Folau (OR A KIWI REF DISKHING OUT PENALTIES - See my other thread re Folau)) in it and with two bits of brilliance they can move the scoreboard forward by 10 to 14.

That was all it required from the Waratahs on Saturday. The Stormers’ approach, which revolves so heavily around the elimination of mistakes in their game, can work – but then for it to work, you have to ensure you don’t make mistakes. That is what the Stormers haven’t been able to get right this year, with days being rare indeed where all the compartments of the team fire simultaneously (Disruption through injuries effected thsi sognificantly as it did the sharks)

It did look good for them in the first quarter. They had the first points on the board through a Pietersen penalty after 15 minutes and camped in the Waratahs half. They poached a few Waratahs lineouts and it would be fair to say they had the hosts under constant pressure in that phase, and there was also a big early scrum that turned over possession.

But what to do with the possession is what is key, and the Stormers just turn too much ball over, and there was a play in the 31st minute that summed up their season when a ball was spilled in front of the Waratahs’ posts and they kicked it through and nearly scored at the other end as Gio Aplon was caught in possession and penalised.

The second part of the first half, after the try was scored, saw a switch in momentum, with the Stormers committed almost only to defence in that period. But still the Stormers made it hard for themselves with errors that enabled the Waratahs to exert pressure, and it wasn’t a surprise when Brendan McKibbin was able to kick a penalty on the stroke of halftime that gave the Waratahs an 8-3 lead at the break.

The Stormers did have much the better of the first 30 minutes of the second half, and with Pietersen booting four penalties, and the Stormers turning around the penalty count that had been against them in the first half, it looked like they were heading for victory. But then came the double injury blow in the back row, and Habana’s brain explosion, and it left them to once again lament what might have been.

It’s been the story of their season and their chances of winning the Super Rugby title for the first time have consequentially become extremely remote. They do retain a mathematical chance of making the top six, but they can forget about the South African conference trophy. That looks like it will belong to the Bulls.

Well the fact is Allende and Van Der heever are 100 kg backs as is Howard. Du Plessis is well into the  90kgs - 96 I think I saw. Allistair has refused to see sense. Groom is also a lot more dangerous that Duvengage. However as a unit they dont get going that well. That is a coaching problem but its also a selection of too many small backs. Its amazing really how good the Stormers defence has been and it could have been even better.

However it is noteworthy they have on occassions outscored opponents in tries and stil lost due to the penalties. Kiwi refs defintely have a lot to answer for. So as I said to beat kiwis you need the defence but also the tries to nullify the eforts of the kiwi ref.

Watching the kings today shows you how even a team with limited talent can score tries when well coached. Coetzee flopped as the Bok backline coach. For his efforts he was rewarded with the Stormers coaching job when Rassie followed Mallet in walking. Coetzee appears to be a decent enough person but is he really the guy that we need. I seriously doubt it. So the trouble is at the top. Why do really classy coaches go? Because they will not put up with the nonsense.

Beeno summing it up.

Looks like its win or tickets?

Tickets to where Beans? Are you going far mate?

Sounds like another sorry team in need of a Kiwi coach .

The things Kiwis do for world rugby out of the generosity of their hearts. What a caring bunch.

Large stain some think Plum, a kiwi is not up to it. No we need good coaches and we have a number of saffa coaches not coaching our teams. However whoever is the best we can get is the one we need.

I mean look what Solomoms can do with a team of limited ability. Granted it was only the highlanders who were left defenceless not having a kiwi ref.

Wonder what will happen to them up at loftus. Hahahahahahahha highlanders will be brought low methinks stain larger.

As for the Stormers we continue and see what happens. Looks like we have lost Vermuelen, Elstadt and Fourie. But hey it shouldnt matter as injuries have no bearing on matters. Bwahahahahahaha hilarious ideas!

OKay so the tickets are for Loftus.

Well good for you backing the Bulls now your team is toast Beans.

Maybe they;ll accept you back on that SS website after being unceremoniously dumped so many times . Fancy yarpies not liking you. Hard to fathom why that is.

yep SAffex (mainly) kolisi is crap... I dont know why you keep carrying on about him... maybe strong but totally lacking last night compared to Tahs pack. TImani would have smashed "Bruno" if it came to swings bruno looking more and more like all talk.... big boy but not really that tough... bit bruno like... ahhahahaah

anyway weak conference owning the saffas and kiwis - only reasons kiwis had a few wins thanks to bent refs... I can tell this years wallabies (once we sack drongo deans) going to relive the heights or exceed the early 2000s....
