Ad infinitumAdverbMeaning: Again and again in the same way; forever.

Never in history has an adverb more accurately described anything than ad infinitum describes the comment history you two share.
I have an honest suggestion. Get a divorce! And by that I mean, step back, make a clean break, and start again. Clean slate. Forget any existing references to, Matfield, Alberts, Frans or Morne Steyn, Heineke Meyer, Allistair Coetzee, PSDT etc etc etc etc etc. By all means, debate, argue, even fight, but just not about the same old stuff. There is an ever changing world of rugby on the go right now, just focus on that.

@Shark

"Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? [Two-Face tries to raise his arms] I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it! You know I just do... things. The mob has plans. The cops have plans. Gordon's got plans. You know...they're schemers."

@plum, classic. The dialogue of this movie is great, especially the Joker.

Its when you start throwing Joker lines into every day conversation that you know you watched it too many times.

This is much more like Les Miserables with me in the role of Jean Valjean and poor Mike in the role of Javert. But who am I to deny him, Mike only lives to be Javert.

They are a strange couple...I relate them to Jack Lemmon and Walter Mattau but not as clever and charismatic.

@Seb, the difference between the two is that one has a sense of humour and the other is an old sourpuss living in Riversdale........

I'm fairly sure neither Lemmon nor Matthau have solved a Calculus of Variations problem. Have you?

Beeno

You are the Dumbest fool on site - so please you do not shed your acquired status to somebody else.   I am generous - keep it for future use.   You do not want to be called something worse - broccoli brain.

They will continue as they have the last decade and nothing will change it.

BlueBok can threaten all he likes. He has a choice. Stay and watch these two retired pensioners go at it ... everyday ... about the same things ... everyday ... each trying to set the "record" straight ... unrelenting ... boring us all to tears ... or ... leave the board and never come back.

It doesn't matter to them whether we stay or go. They only see each other. That's the reason they awake each day. To do what they did yesterday ... again ... and again ... and to plan to do it again tomorrow ... and the next day ... and next week ... and the week there after.

The trick is not to get caught up in their squabble but rather to look for someone who wants to talk about rugby. Not someone who edits previous posts that he's saved in a vast archive of "I said ... you said" folders ... all filed in topic order for easy access ... to amend as he needs to fit his current argument.

It's easy to get caught up in their childish rants. Some of it is utter rubbish so one feels the urge to correct them. It only adds to the bickering and in the end lengthens that specific squabble by a week or two ... which in turn will also be saved for future use.

I know it's difficult to believe but these two are actually adults.

It was a suggestion....it didn't work. So be it. Koos, you make a valid point. They are both pretty certain they are winning the argument. I guess that means we have two winners....or is it losers?
Clean, you're right. No point trying to change it, I knew that when I started the thread, but what can I say...I'm an optimist! I don't take it personally or anything, I just find it boring...I'll just try and skip past it in future.
