has been told to take a hitch!

In my opinion, maybe the Lions needed a smash or 2 to wake them up!

I've played under many Hitler coaches...

Just bite the bullet and work harder!

Each coach has their own method.

How he ever got so many coaching jobs is beyond me. Was only average as a player as well and needs dumping the way he dropped AB legend Christian Cullen from the WC team in 2003 team despite him having a record 56 tries in Super Rugby at the time. Thinks he's bigger than the game so tell him to FO.

Anyone thiking Mitchell is the problem at the Lions is as daft as a hatter.

As for cullen brycy he was a softie who made a living off the work of others. Cullen was looking over the hill when he was dropped. he was a defensive liability as well with his powder puff tackling.

Mitchell and king Carlos have done sterling work at the Lions and only injuries have blown them out of the water. Carlos has done a lot for Jantjes in my opinion and made him a good attacking flyhalf who only needs to toughen up a bit mentally.

Telling the media after the match- that some of his players are not Suer15 standard and not able to implement his game plan surely has to be bad coaching. It is probably true that they have players that are not Super15 standard due to all of the injuries and lack of depth.

As for the dropping of Christian Cullen for Miles Mulliana is contentious. Christian Cullen was the best attacking player their has been since the advent of professional rugby. Cullen then took a major knee injury that he never recovered from around this time of being dropped. I would have still kept him in the squad on the bench or potentially still played him. At the time I remember Mitchell announced to the media that he lost his speed and that is why he was not selected.

Mitchell is a Dicatator style of coach- but the teams he has coached have done better with him, than without him. The Western Force has fallen apart since he left and the Lions probably would never have won the Curry Cup. Nobody wants to do well more than Mitchell

Sharkbok its all gone sour and a scapegoat is needed. The union has been in the doldrums for years but at least under Mitchell they played some good rugby. I am sure if there had not been these injuries and there had been more games won this would never have happened.

Fact is they did not have the squad to play Super  once the injuries came along that is the simple truth and everyone knows it. The rot has been at the top for years and Kevin De Klerk has a huge challege on his hands. Once they are out of the Super comp life gets even more difficult.
