He will have to clean out the witless idiots with a lot of players in that category.   However, top of the list are -
*   Strauss - the Bulls are two points behind and the Kings lock is yellow-carded straight in front of the posts.   Kick for post is under those circumstances a certain disaster - especially since the Bulls line-out was superior.   Kick for goal is a typical BS decision by a fool and that contributed to the loss.
*   Jenkins made a neck-high tackle and was penalized and yellow-carded after the Bulls actually scored a try - the  idiot cost the team 7 points
*    Kirsten - the last two minutes says it all.
I have always said that rugby players should have thinking ability - the above three has none.

CleverMike, Mitchell will kick some butts for sure. I think we will see a big improvement from the Bulls.

Bulls the most traditional of any SA franchise in many ways. Mitchell butts heads with the nicest of folk at the best of times. Can't see this lasting unless there is some immediate tangible success.
Maybe he has half an eye on the Bok job? Or the money is just a whole lot better.

Mitchell needs a big budget to buy the players that he wants. If he has the resources, I think he will get along with the players, management and board much better.
Mitchell demands excellence. He can't turn a C player into an A player, but he will try -which causes the conflict. When he was with the Lions he had a small budget but created the path for the Lions to be the team they are today. Ackerman learnt lots. The SA lions are not just about having a good backline, the forwards are very good at creating rucks.

He will certainly remove players that lack basic caveman thinking ability. He will select players who can be part of a system- but also have the ability to think individually.

Simply put ... the Bulls were completely out played and should consider themselves fortunate that this inexperienced Kings side went to sleep after racing to a 22 - 3 lead so early in the match.

If Serfontein doesn't fire then all turns to sh!t it seems.

Mitchell and his no nonsense approach will undoubtedly clash with some of the players but if left will produce the necessary results.

I see Mozart has written him off. I guess this leaves the door open for his usual 180 next season.

Waaaaaaaaaahahaha....so now the right coach is on the phone it has to be the captain. This is a team of robots, they wont contend next year under Mitchell, but then it will be the Regime. ... You mongs just wont accept the fact we have very limited talent, almost none of which is at the Bools.

The only real Mong is you and the players you favour - so don't try and put others in your very own mong cage - you and your toadies can have it.

Ou maaaaikie Strauss was a great leader while at the Cheetahs. Don't blame him for everything! The Bulle management MUST back Mitchell as there are going to be some prima donnas not wanting to do the necessary work and mend their ways.I wonder what ou cerufunce windpomp thinks. He probab ly longs for Meyer to be back.

For me there is ample talent at the Bulls. They have a decent core of players and a lot of them are still young. I think most coaches would be pretty happy with their roster and there's no need for wholesale personnel changes.
The problems for me are the management, coaching and certainly the skipper. Man for man the Bulls are probably the best team in SA on paper. They just have zero team spirit, are being fed ka.k ideas and there is a black hole of a chasm where leadership should be.
Mitchell will absolutely turn them around. Just the fact that an English speaking guy is gonna be gunning them will already ruffle a lot of arrogant feathers. Practice sessions immediately after games is another thing that he'll probably introduce. Fking love it!
Who else thinks he's gonna sack Strauss ASAP?

I thought that he was retiring for the Bulls at the end of the season.
He was once a good rugby player- when he was at the Cheetas. He is become more useless each match

Firing Strauss would be an excellent start. He's a poor hooker and an even worse captain.

Just too damn old to keep up anyway.

His immediate retirement is best for rugby as a whole.
