Mitcjell and the Bulls

After Mitchell's appointment as from 1 July 2017 as Director of Rugby he allowed Marais to continue with the coaching of the Bulls.   It was soon clear that it would not produce positive results and the Bulls were way down the log.  
Mitchell took over the coaching role and after initial signs of improvement - he was experimenting with players - the team developed into a very strong unit.    They are playing fantastic 14 man rugby and not the junk Ludeke and Marais forced them into.
The problem is going to be - what is Mitchell going to do with the returning Springboks.  Of those Pollard will not play in view of his concussion during the test.   For the rest Mitchell may put Nyakane on the be4nch - but the interesting selections will be at center,   Here there is very small chance that he would fall for the Jackson-Ode3ndaal combination are playing fantastic ruigby and Serfontein and Kriel was fairly useless in Super Rugby.    Will they fit in with the 15man rugby the Bulls is playing at resent.
As to Paige there is virtually no chance  Mitxchell will dropIvan van Zyl and play Paige.  
The team selection and strategy on the game on Saturday will be very, very interesting.   What si clear by now is that the dionkeys are not Mitchell's favourites and the team is developed nicely - they would definitely make hay in the 2018 Super rugby season.    

 I think that it is great Mitch has taken over, he is a no nonsense guy and won't be persuaded to select race base selections or put up with past reputations. 
Mike it looks like you got your wish, looking at Mitchell sentiment towards players joining the squad late. 
I do think that Serfontein made a mistake leaving as I think Mitchell would have brought the best out of them. 
I noticed Mitch mentioned of putting Gelant in at 13? 
I hope the likes of Gelant, Pollard, Kriel and Van Zyl can have really good super rugby campaigns next year.

Thanks for your input.   It would be interesting to see how Mitchell uses the available players,   Ode ndaal developed beyond recognition after he took over.
Mitchell is a hard taskmaster not taking nonsense from anybody.    He will take some time - but the Bulls are already looking fitter and adventurous than they used to be.     

 Still p!ssed off that Kevin de Klerk and Hoskins managed to convince Thelo Wakefield not to appoint Mitch as Stormers coach. Stupid!!!!

There is no doubt the Bulls will do better next year. Although in 2019 they should have recruited more players to replace any remaining donkeys in the squad, and also find more game breakers.
