Mo'unga vs the Barrett boys

I share your point of view here and think that Mo'unga is the best NZ flyhalf at present.   I do not rate Jordie Barrett and Beauden Barrett  was lucky to inherit the position when Carter retired from international rugby.   Cruden had some very poor games and ruled him out of contention with the result that only Barrett was available to take over.  I think the future is with Mo'umga        

...notsoclevermike...Cruden never lost a game he started at 10 for the ABs...so a 100% success rate does'nt suggest poor performances that you speak of...what happened was Cruden missed the plane to SA so was dumped because of that and we lost to SA as a result -  Cruden then was injured and that's when Barret took over and repeatedly won the World Rugby Men's player of rhe Year so became the NO1 preferred AB 10 on the back of that . 

I've always maintained BB is a better fullback than first five , awesome on cover defence but one dimensional on attack although a great opportunist ...Mo'unga is the future at 10 but Hansen won't change Barret unless he is injured...am hoping after the next RWC BBarret takes over from the retiring Ben Smith at fullback making way for Mo'unga...

Can you imagine having Beauden Barrett as you second choice no.10? It is the little things that make me realise how big the gap is between the AB's and the rest. 

...surely dopey Hansen can't ignore Richie Mo'unga now after another great Super Rugby season leading the Crusaders to succesive victories...surely it would'nt be too difficult to rotate players and give everyone a run now in preparation for next years RWC...

Brycy Mr Dopey Hansen will have his finger o the pulse so to speak .Richie to get a few games off the bench then a start against less tough opposition like maybe the Argies ?

What a choice Hansen has, two great players... we have depth on the wings also, plus the mid-field look pretty good. Barrett is the man for me and I would let Mo develop at test level over this next series. Hansen develops his players he doesn't throw them in the deep end.

 JW....and McKenzie has also shown how handy a backup 10 he can be in the June tests...the thing is our 10s are in huge demand in Europe and can command huge sums up north....so the temptation must be there to cash in if all these players aren't getting recognition /sufficient game time in the AB jersey.....so somehow Hansen needs to include all these players if he wants to keep them in NZ...a fine line to tread...

...same goes in the centres with great depth....Laumape all day over Jordie in my book but Jordie can play multiple positions as well as kick ...Crusader centres and SBW also holding Laumape back ....so would be sad to see someone of Laumape's immense talent going to Europe -  another balancing act for Hansen..

...we can't accomodate them all though and our wingers included with Savea and Tamanivalu now heading north...the temptation for players like Bridge, Lam, and NMS to cash in must also be there... After the next RWC there will be a further exodus......on the upside European rugby is becoming increasingly attractive to watch with every additional AB's inclusion

So the decisions Hansen is making now will have huge ramifications for the shape of the future team and the fate regarding the future careers of players... keeping in mind Hansen will be handing the reigns over to a new AB coach and most likely will no longer be involved after next year's RWC...

Mr Sharky these halfwits with money to burn are a blot on our game .for both SA and NZ .

Now I will make the NZ fans really unhappy.   I prefer Mo-anga over the Barretts - but all of them have a problem in defense - which they off-set by good all round play.
