Mo\zart - the rugby illetrate

After slagging off players he does not like - and pleading on the knees for the under-performers who let us down in the past - follows a Mo\zart classic.  He forecast a loss for the Springboks on Saturday by 7 points.

Now why should a person advocate the selection of players and then throw in the towe once they are selected?    Is it because he deep inside him does not believe his own prating?    

I think the reason is he is addicted to the geriatrics who played for the Springboks in the past - without any real analysis of what they bring to the game at present.   He is afraid of what that analysis may produce if looked at objectively.   

This is the guy who wrote up Bakkies Botha as magnificient in the Scottish test last year - moments after the final whistle blew - then found out that Bakkies really was sub-par.   This is the guy who use stats selectively - if they favour his players - they are used - if not they are ignored.   This is the guy who loves to quote newspaper reports on the same basis.   If a rerport supports one of his idols - fine, but if a report is critical of any of those players - the writer is a fool.

This is a guy who writes reports about rugby occurences during games which when analyzed  is a total misrepresentation of what actually happened.

So what is he up to this week?  He is of course writing up the postings he will make after the game on  Saturday and the justification of poor play by any of his favourites in the case of failure by any or all of them will be forthcoming.   If any of his favouries made a mistake - somebody else will be blamed for that mistake.      

This fellow is obsessive....and thick as a brick.  

Maths was your weakest subject, but you try and interpret stats? If nothing else this exercise has proven you should never quote a number. But this is barely maths, a beginner's problem. Admit it you never passed matric maths.
