When Robinson smacked head on into Malherbe and knocked him flat, without flinching.
Moment of the weekend
Was that the double tackle. Malherbe was hit hard and got up an continued playing. He is now our number one tighthead by the looks of it or at least its between him and Coenie.

Why is one incident in games - your career defining norm. I saw numerous similar incidents in games this weekend and none of them were ofparticular note worthines as you seems to make out here. See what I wrot about career defining based on one incident and try and be more objective about assessing of players on a one-incident basis.
Point out to me where I say anything about Malherbe's career....Maaaaik

Then why post it here? I saw various similarincidents this weekend and would not mention one in particular like you did.
The physics were interesting, Robinson never moved back an inch....it was quite a feat, akin to the Beast tricep pressing the Shark lock.

Talking about Robinson - was he not the guy who was under constant pressure by the opposing prop in the scrums?
No. That was the Tahs tighthead, who put his hand on the deck the whole first half, and I presume in the second as well. Totally missed by the Smiley ref.
Robinson is a superb scrummager and certainly never in trouble

I know that you have a problem with stats - and that you take those into account when it fits you and ignore tham if it does ot fit your theories. However, the ESPN stats indicated that Robinson made 3 tackles and missed 1 in the game yesterday and Malherbe made 6 tackles and missed one.
Despite what you say - Robinsonis NOT as solid a scrummager as you insists upon and the Waratahs scrum yesterday was under pressure most of the time. In earlier games - but for the Kings game - it always was the same - and that is a fact of life.
No I have a PhD minor in stats.....I have no problem with them. You, however, have a problem with logic. What does tackling have to do with scrumming?
Mozart
There are important incidents in matches that determine the outcome of games. However, one rather insignifcant tackle that costs the team nothing in points is not such an incident.
I look at games not only at individual incidents - but at the affect those incidents have on the outcome of the game as a whole - in other words at the sequence of events on the field following such incidents. That means that you can determine the outcome of incidents more acurately. If the result of for intatnce the tackle by Robinon let to a turnover in possession - it could have implications of a wider nature. If it merely resulted in a maul - where the Sormers retained the possession - it really is meaningless. Capice.
Since I look at the game from a wider perspective and try and determine where things happened - I took the liberty to ask about the scrummiing issue - knowing that in all the games I watched Robinson did not really showed much in that component of the game.
I accept that academically you have the necesary academic qualifications and admire you for that. However, what I cannot understand is why you use player stats when they support your argument - and why you ignore them when it does not serve that purpose. Please explain the reason for that to me and then I will acceept it and not refer to selective usage of player stats.
definietly hit of the round... but it was Timani in from the side that really smashed the prop. credit to him got up and moved on. Robinson is solid loosehead and Tahs scrum wasnt as bad as lineout - just shows the ol' saffa set piece is no issue its just you cant score tries...
moment of the week would have been if timani had have taken up bruno invitation to have a go.... young bruno would have been out of the game for another 12 weeks...
Moz, good luck with the Ou Mike response........does this bloke read the garbage he writes. I think his maid could do a better job.
Good one DomMike, got to love the tackle stats being brought into a scrumming debate - man oh man
