By the time we play rugby again I will have watched the RC matches at least 2 more times. So I thought I’d list the moments where the Cup shifted in our direction in a live thread:
1 Against Japan.....in a first half where Japan had 68% of the territory and were stretching our defenses.....the Beast hammers a Blossom with a huge tip tackle. Wayne Barnes calls an instant yellow without debating it with the TMO. Any of the French refs and that was a red. Beating Japan with 14 men would have been a tough ask.
2 Wales vs France....the French are clearly the better team in the early going. Then with 30 minutes to go and France leading by 9 points and near the Welsh line, Vahaamahina gets red carded for an abysmal elbow to the face. Arguably that French team had the physicality to give the Boks a better run than the Wallies.

I watched the 1st half of Boks vs Wales semi this morning We clearly physically dominated them in that half and got the better of them in the scrums but was only rewarded with 1 scrum penalty. Will watch the 2nd half later

The Boks peaked for the final. Eddie Jones said that he doubts any other team would have beaten them on the day.
The kicking game was accurate and that was a big factor. In the quarters and semi-final Faff's up and under were terrible. ' Pollard took more of the up and under in the final, and those that Faff did were much better.
So the game plan was implemented better in the final.

It was pretty clinical in the second half vs Japan......beautiful break and long pass by Pollard for Mapimpi’s second try.

Most of Faf’s kicks in the first half against Wales were actually good, I recall one bad one that gained little ground Watch the bloody game

Dr Moz the biggest moment by far was when Rassie was appointed Coach. Another big moment was when Du Toit moved to 7.

Stick with Beeno!

Dave, poor sharktwit could watch the game 100 times and still be all at sea. The problem lies with lack of grey matter !

I would say it's the conditioning coach  Jacques Nienaber.(New coach too)

In the last ten minutes of the Wales game our forwards mauled and out scrummed them giving us those extra penalties in a tit-for-tat encounter.
