Plum it may interest you to know the Bible speaks of the circle of the earth. Yes those who knew their Bible  always knew the earth was round.

CC if you have researched The Bible at all, you'll know there is no concept of the modern understanding of "hell" in the Old Testament. Sheol is simply the grave, the abode of the dead. No souls burning in an eternal fire. You're just dead. Dante and renaissance art deserves far more credit for the Christian idea of hell than anything in The Bible.

If I understand you correctly, you believe that death is the end of it all … that you cease to exist … that your time as a living being has come to an end. That your life as a whole was pointless and served no purpose other than to procreate.

It’s a place where you were separated from God … a place much like solitary confinement … where there is no light, no sound, no escape, no hope … where the dead were gathered in a constant state of misery.

That was the very purpose of Christ’s coming.

To give hope … to enable us to be reconciled unto the Father ... if we choose.

The choice remains ours.  

This falls in line with what Jesus the Christ taught us on Hell in the New Testament.
