This article outlines how the style of play of the play in the backs can be quite different (flexibility) now that McKenzie had included  Bernard Foley and Matt Toomua - Cooper won't be the only one who can run the Woblies backline.

Also gives some insight into what McKenzie has in mind in the forwards.

Although the ABs have had total dominance over Woblies (& most other teams including the Boks) in recent years, the Woblies have been very close to being really good. They have had a bad run of injuries and the this childish undiciplined behaviour lately.

IMO if the new scrum laws help them and if the new forwards coming through now can get a starting slot Oz will be hard to beat. Going into the last RWC we were most concerned about Oz. I think we will again be facing a tough team, maybe not right away but soon. This means of course that they will be tough for the Boks.

wallabies are again IMO the team to beat, just like last year, they dont have the injures of 2013 which IMO was worse then the Boks, they have a new coaches and new coaches always reinvigorates the team especially the reds contingent,  and getting whipped by the lions will give them even more motivation.

but despite upincoming stars like folau, sio and mogg, im not as wary of the wallabies as i was this time last year.
the All Blacks squad look finely tuned and ready to roll, we have plenty of fresh faces who debuted either in 2012 or 2013, we have experinced heads to keep up us on the path, and we have players in form, its a win/win/win.

its not that the wallabies roster hasnt improved, cos it has, its just that the All Blacks are man for man a much stronger team then both the wallys and Boks, and we dont have "travel issues" which in some corners has been the ultimate factor, o_-

I think McKenzie will do alright as coach for the Woblies. Both he and Deans are good coaches but McKenzie has the luxury of inheriting good players and knowing the mistakes Robby made with team culture. Hopefully McKenzie will straigten out the spoilt brats (Cooper, O'connor, Beale, etc.). He looks more of an in-your-face type coach & this is what the convicts need to get the best out of them. Plus the new scrum rules could help him out.

First game of bledisloe in Sydney expect at least 50% to be kiwis because unfortunately the ARU under John oniell committed to playing the first game of the bledisloe at a home ground that HAS more kiwi migrants than locals..... So my sad expectation is that the wallabies wont win BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the x factor no doubt is the 'kiwi-owning Reds super coach' who one thing for sure will keep the kiwis guessing about many things.... he's seemed to have worked out that their small minds cant handle too many surprises something the French have known about for years.... hopefully the boys CAN execute and get off to a win @ the kiwis home ground in Sydney.

@redsneck,

"First game of bledisloe in Sydney expect at least 50% to be kiwis because unfortunately the ARU under John oniell committed to playing the first game of the bledisloe at a home ground that HAS more kiwi migrants than locals....."
sydeny populatio - 4.627 million
kiwis in OZ population - 600,000+

to any kids reading this, please stay in school and pay attention to the teachers, education is very important no matter how much certain indviduals beg to differ.

"So my sad expectation is that the wallabies wont win"
statiscally speaking, after a lifetime of being wrong both inadvertently and as a byproduct of ur parents being siblings before conceiving u, u really were due so im not surprised u said something right, LMAO, :oP

still im surprised to see u changing ur tune when for the enitre year u have been saying the wallabies will win the bledisloe with mackenzie in charge, and u went even crazier after deano was out of the equation and ur dream coach fanatsy came true.
so why the sudden change of attitude now??? oh thats right, its the week of the bleidisloe.
the wallabies colour yellow has never been so fitting for fan like it does u, ur in dire need of some mana, maybe cooper can steal u some???

"BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the x factor no doubt is the 'kiwi-owning Reds super coach' who one thing for sure will keep the kiwis guessing about many things...."
of course theres always a butt where mackenzies involved, :oD

but is that the same battered and deep fried kiwi owning reds super coach whose reds team was systematically torn apart, burnt in a furnace and then had their ashes urinated on by the crusaders in the spXV semi finals??? o_O

BTW u wont know this, cos ur too busy being a try hard saffa, but mackenzie was also the waratahs coach, his super rugby record as a whole against NZ teams is a big zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Tryhard Staffa.....? Says the young kiwi living in Melbourne with a Japanese alias on a Saffa website...... Hahahahahahaahha what a laugh a minute u are...... Hahahaahah hysterical actually......

as you are so misinformed so i will keep TRYING TO EDUCATE YOU IF AT ALL POSSIBLE... the population who actually give a rats about rugby in Australia is possibly 1/100 at best.....so let's say 20mil pop that's 200,000 people who even understand the rules and for that matter enjoy watching the game..... That ISN'T A KIWI MIGRANT..... For that matter maybe 100k of these may live in Sydney vs at least 300k kiwi spongers who live in bondi alone....

Ewen record at the reds speaks for itself... Haven't seen cruds win anything in a LONG LONG WHILE.... As for canes...... EVER........ so come back when you've got substance and not some half cocked Kevin Rudd inspired skewed statistics.... Young sheep boy who has a serious lack of identity.... Japanese Aussie wannabe on a Saffa website.... Ahhahaahha

Red-neck covering his butt by saying " sadly we wont win" most aussies at least wait till after they lose before making that whining noise! As for piggy eyes Makenzie ,how did your boys do in the finals ???

You are constantly talking down aussie rugby and trying desperately to find some thing anyhing to deflect from your teams crap prformances of late [ I find it especialy telling and quite hilariuos that you think business men spend their days in their offices drinking beer and checking their "stock portfolios" hahahaha!] If you think aussie rugby is so shit why dont you go watch NRL or Afl [ at least an aussie team can win that !] Who cares what aussies think of rugby ? why dont you feck off and watch Dancing with the ,ahem, "Stars " with all the other aussies who know or care zip about rugby .If you only like the game when your winning your going to be a sad little man till the day you thankfully die .

@redsneck,

"Tryhard Staffa.....?"
ur the biggest tryhard saffa here, anyone who has been blogging here for the past year knows just how much of a saffa blowhard wannabe u are.

"Says the young kiwi living in Melbourne with a Japanese alias on a Saffa website...... Hahahahahahaahha what a laugh a minute u are...... Hahahaahah hysterical actually......"
was that ur attempt at irony???
im quite shocked, while u failed in ur example of irony, its better then using magnets which is what i thought u would have u tried to do first.

"as you are so misinformed so i will keep TRYING TO EDUCATE YOU IF AT ALL POSSIBLE... the population who actually give a rats about rugby in Australia is possibly 1/100 at best....."
why do i keep arguing with u??? prob cos its fun and its sooooooo easy.
so ur going to try to educate with numbers which u say urself are possibly and not factual???
the population of australia who actually gives a rats about rugby in australia is possibly 1/100 at best, mutliply that by the circumference of an apple pie and carry the 2,,,,,,,,,,
if only u had just one more brain cell, then u would understand why u should be feeling quite embarressed right now.

"Ewen record at the reds speaks for itself."
ewan "im so fat i got a PHD in diabetes" super rugby record does speak for itself.

"Haven't seen cruds win anything in a LONG LONG WHILE.... As for canes...... EVER........"
ooooh nice comeback, but OZ conference are NZs bitches, just look how ur teams fared against us in the finals this year. crusaders destroyed the reds and the chiefs triumphed over the donkeys
to say nothing of the plethora of kiwi players in both of those teams giving ur conference and the wallabies credability.
going going gone..........

"Japanese Aussie wannabe on a Saffa website.... Ahhahaahha"
o_O, it seems ive hit quite a never by calling u a saffa wannabe, but thats still no excuse to plaugerise.
but i dont kiss the aussies asses like my life depends on it the way u do the locals here and japanese??? tsk tsk tsk, its obviously past ur bed time cos u need a good nights rest. ur insults are weak and pathetic, like ur walabies forward pack.

Come on Pedsman, a little while ago Maccas McKenzie and his Wobblies were going to wipe the floor with the ABs in 2013 and now you're predicting a loss in your home game??

Where's all that usual misguided Aussie bravado that normally spews forth from all your countrymen just before a fall?

Your so easy to wind up red-neck ,like to dish it out but cant take it eh ? Most Aussies are decent generous people ,not  you though !And we all gotta die some time ,the most generous thing you could do is just pop off the branch a little early ! guarantee you  wont be missed .......and I see your sticking with your "business man " meme eh ? too much watching "Mad Men " [ its fiction by the way ]

I reckon the only time you got to play Rugger was when Teacher made the cool kids pick the fatties and dweebs ,sad realy but there it is .And is it "Link " as in "Missing Link" he looks like one of the cleverer monkeys ,unlike you, you blow-in wanker ,even the aussies on Fox-Sports cant stand you so here you are eh ?

PS .you should get some one to read to you I never said I wanted you to die you f.ck-wit I said you will be a sad little man till the day you die ,unless your going to live forever [shudder] !

Quiet day at the 'office' is it pedsman. You really are a classic example of a keyboard coward. You wouldnt say shit to any of us in person and you know it. At least  Boklogic  was prepared to stand behind his comments.

By the way Einstein, next time you come on here challenging kiwis intelligence, as you did in a previous post mispelling DUNCE as dunse in the process, you might like to learn to spell first, that way you won't betray how incredibly stupid you really are.
