@sitting bull,
it aint over till the fat ben10 sings.
chiefs need to finish on top of the combined confernece come finals time, cos playing the stormers at newlands is gonna be a tough ask, i think they can do it, but u would be crazy to underestimate the sotmers in their backyard.

im also not sold on the chiefs chances against the crusaders, no matter what the result is next week in their match, the crusaders are a danger anywhere.

im hoping for a dream final of the chiefs vs crusaders, cos more importantly, the sp rugby title needs to come back to NZ and keep all the other trophies company, especially now that jr championship is vacatioining in SA.
should my dream final come true, then i will be cheering for the chiefs, cos the crusaders have enough super rugby titles and its time to share the wealth.

.,,,sasuke uchiha..what would be better than whipping Moonbean Dbdraad and clever mike on their own homeground,,,maybe thrashing them at Waikato stadium but not really fussed where or worried by a team that can't tackle to save themselves...epic battle looming with Crusader tribe next week also but Mighty Chiefs already gauranteed playoff spot and already won NZ conference outright regardless of next weeks result... only need one win out of next two games to secure homeground advantage so all's good in the hood....truly over the moon for Hurricane tribe as well...they deserve to be in the finals ahead of any wombat or yarpie teams don't you think...pity they have to come up against the Mighty Chiefs....

Shitting bool, your cheeefs is a good team, and might even win my team this year, but they certainly is not untouchable. Good luck, but don't be surprised if the Stormers bump you lot off the track.

Sitting bool and Susue, let me outline to you your fate. The custies will beat the non warrior tribe the chiefies.

Stormers will top the Log. Final will be at Newlands where the mighty Stormers will chomp up whoever dares to turn up.

Bwahahahahahahahahaha. This is where it turns pear shaped for wee chiefies. Mocking birds practising song of rejoicing! yarpie tribe set to rule kiwi birds! Baby Boks beating abs is just the begining of the end for kiwi tribe - dweller in the land of the long black cloud. Harken unto the wise words of the bearer of light - Moonbeam.

.I am not going to argue about tribes here - but about rugby.    First of all - the Crudaders is a different team with Carter around - also Read add value to the team.   That is if McCaw can stop giving away easy penalties.  If that combination happen - then the Crusaders are 80% sure of a win this coming Friday.  What is the news about the injured two mentioned?

My reason for a Crusader win is because the Crusaders do not have tissue paper  props and the forwards of the Chiefs will not run all over the Crusaders as they did with the Highlanders.   I will say the Crusaders by ten points - that is if Carter plays.   Otherwise by at least 5 points.

I give the Stormers at least an 80% chance of beating the Cheetahs on Saturday.  Some injured players are returning. Elstadt is back and there hopefully is not another flue epidemic.

If the Crusdares win by more than 7 points and the Stormers win - the Chiefs will be off the top of the combined log - and that could spell doom to their chances of winning the trophy.   Travelling to newlands would be the end of their dream.

The Chiefs must also beware of the Hurricans.   if they lose both games - they may even end up in the play-offs for semi-final position - as they may come third on the log and have to be in the play-offs before the semi-final.   Not likely to happen - but the chances are there.

I have always rated the Crusaders as a team higher than the Chiefs - so mighty mooloo may not work out as sitting bull suggested.  Only saving grace could be Cruden - but lets wait and see what happens on Friday.

My bet is the Sharks may win both their coming games - and the Bulls and Sharks will be in the play-offs.   That would mean that there is potentially three SA teams in the top 6.   That would make life very difficult for the New Zealand teams involved.   They should better hope that is not the case.  Their problem may even be th Brumbies - after all they have the best coach in world rugby and may upset the favourites.

Sound analysis Mike and Isee we have at last silenced ou sitting bool and sasue.

I see Etzebeth is out!!!!!  De Jong and Hababa are down with flu. I wonder if some bad mooloo magic is flowing our way from the dark side?   If its not injuries its flu!!!!!!!!!

Truth is unless we get back to full strength soon we are in trouble. Hopefully at least Koster and Etzebeth will also be back next week.

Not so clever mike .  Don't worry about the Chiefs mate. They're a class outfit and it'll be champagne rugby at its best.  I'd be more concerned about how the Stormers will go against a resurgent Cheetahs outfit. How your team got to nuber two with such a piss poor attacking record is beyond me too - maybe Bean Brain could enlighten us how that ever happened.  Make sure you start with once upon a time mate.

Brycy

Thanks for a rugby posting at last.   Yes - the Stormers did not score enough trie this year that I would admit  - but they also have by far the best defensive record of all the teams in Super 15.   My record indicated that in 14 games played they had 227 points scored against them - as against 301 scored against the Chiefs.   On average the other teams had circa 150 more points scored  aginst them than the Stormers.

Problem for you is that if the Chiefs have to play a fully-fit Stormer Team - they will not be in the game whatsoever - since they would miss out on points scored - and that would be the end of the story.
