I have very little to criticize with regard to the play today - but Steyn's goal kicking was abysmal.    Unless the klicks were in front of the goalposts - everyhting went missing.    Steyn's main attribute has always been his goalkicking - otherwise he is a very ordinary flyhalf.   However, in the Durban test, as well as today the goalkicking can only be described as medicore for an international player.

It was not only the goalkicking that went awry.   That kick that went out directly when restarting after England scored causing a scrum on the halfway line cost us 7 points.     This is just not good enough.

Insofar as some of the players is concerned I have to say that the starting line up did very well - but when they brought on the replacements - things went wrong.     Alberts was outstanding - Daniel was anything but.   Same can be said of Kruger - he was just not up to standard.    Unfortunately Habana and Lambie was replaced and they brought in Olivier - just not up to standard.

In a way we started very well and could have won by a considerably bigger margin - but for our goalkicking.

The Springboks cannot afford to carry Morne any longer.

The Springbok jersey must be earned and not just handed out as has happened over the past few years, thus I would suggest moving Lambie to #10 Aplon to #15 and Morne out.

Lambie should play at #10 until such time as Goosen is back to 100%.... no more passengers in the Green and Gold.

Also we cannot afford another Earl Rose at #10.

We have the talent use it!!!!!!!
