Mauls and box kicks. No centre play.....no elegance, just manual labour. All against a hopelessly overmatched opponent.

If we produced this at Twickenham we would have been boo'ed off thepark.

No passing back to the forwards - 3 tries scored by backline players despite what you wrote,
If you wrote about inaccurate and aimless kicking - in the Meyer mode - I would agree with you 100%.
It was boring, but could never be as boring as watching Meyer's teams play in 2015.  Let me remind you that in 2015 the Springboks in the Round Robin stage and in the quarterfinals scored 23 tries,  This year it was 30 tries,  That makes a huge difference,   In 2015 the opposition scored 6 tries against the Springboks thus far -- this year it was 3.   That makes the 2015 effort 5 times more boring than the 2019 games could ever be.
I think that Erasmus decided on a different ball game today in view of the fact that the Japanese team was hugely better than the 2015 team and that he wanted to ensure that the 2015 disgrace would not be repeated,   De Klerk's kicks was as inaccurate and as predictable as was the case of dear Morne - that is why I severely criticized him for what happened today,    Aside from that Le Roux could not catch a ball to save his life,   He was the one who butchered an easy try before half time by knocking on a ball.
The team was probably saved by bringing on Fatso from the bench very late,  As per normal he did bugger-all after he was brought on.

Must admit after today's game I do not give the Boks any chance of beating either England or the AB's.

Aimless kicking and giving away the ball can only lead to disaster against these teams.

Shocking display but as my buddy said "A win is a WIN".

I saw nothing from the Kiwi centres in their thrashing of Ireland. de Allende made more of an impression today in a game that was not as one sided

The difference is that Erasmus would by now have studied the game and worked out what went wrong and what adjustments in the game plan should be made against Wales,   There will be much less possession handover kicks than there was today.

What I could not understand about the game today was why the Springboks did not make corner kicks from penalties, while in driving mauls they made meters progress in most cases - in o ne case they made more than 30 meters before Marx broke away and passed the ball to De Klerk to score his try,  The most successful mauls were when Du Toit caught the ball and organized the driving mauls.

What are the chances Rassie  instructed the Boks to box kick against all the weaker opposition in the hopes that it's all the later stage opposition teams will prepare for?

...or is pro rugby coaching on the world's biggest stage really too one dimensional to carry out a simple strategic bluff?

Rassie is known for the odd bit of trickery. Still, it's likely a bridge too far.

And to add insult to injury, our shortest man is the best high ball grabber in the team.

Surely he knows that what we saw today won't cut it against anyone better than Japan?

Carrot you are one deluded mofo. You sound like one of those motivational speakers handing out 8th place medals to losers telling them how they are just as good. Your centres are garbage they always are garbage Bokkies dont do centres. Its not in the genes. The kiwi centres are garbage too but they totally stuffed your lot in opnening game... remember that one? Bokkies have low self esteem and need to find the positives of beating Canada, Namibia and Italy. Japs were a bad matchup, for them, but you still looked crap. I thought that pressure would be there in the pack but that would obviously turn into points but you made really hard work of that. Wales, England and kiwis would have scored over 50 points easy in that game.

And no, there aint gonna be any new tricks or tactics. whats changed over the years? Nothing really changes you do the same kinds of stuff just this coach is reeeeallly devoted to that kick and pressure defence. This is the most bread and butter Bokkies side Ive ever seen and Ive seen some pretty bad Bokkies teams over the last thirty five years. Its a throw back to the huge jumbo packs you guys threw out fifteen years ago and couldnt score jack with. I remember that time you guys were going to throw the biggest Bokkies pack ever at us and everyone was talking it up like crazy and we put 50 points on you like it was nothing. Yeah, turned to ugly cheap shots to take players out instead of outplaying them.

Played 42

Eng 15

SA 25

Draw 2

Tell us all the above again there C@.

Imagine having a negative record against such a shyte team.

Must mean your lot are worse than shit.

And do remember, at least three of your merger 15 wins were dead rubbers when the series was already won by us.

Your largest win = 50 points in 2002

Our largest win = 48 points in 2007

We also beat you by 36 points in your own back yard...TWICE. In 2007 then after slapping you out the way to take the WC, we did it again in 2008.

Since 2006...

Played 18

Eng 4

SA 13

Draw 1

And one of you meager 4 wins, since 2006, was a dead rubber where we'd already run a gazillion tries past you to take the series in the preceding two matches.

I only mention this because you were stupid enough to talk about our "outdated" rugby that can't win and is so easy to beat. Yet your win percentage against this outdated rugby since 2006 to present is, wait for it...22.22%.

Notice, i didn't round down. That's SH generosity for you.

No but seriously, tell us all the above again, with a straight face, if you can. And remember to mention genetics, it'll make it even more funny.

Twit.

Funny thing is we've moved on and you lot havent. Thats what I keep saying and non of you dumb feks get it. We dont play like we did ten years ago but you guys play the same style you did in the 90s nd wonder why you never get anywhere. In case you missed it you and wobblies have been 5th 6th solidly for years now.

Also after 2007 you southern hemisphere teams had time under elvs we didnt. when we played you late that year in 2008 it was our first time under those rules and then it happened again in 2010!!!! Your away record stinks. Outside fort altitude you got nothing much going. Just like wobblies, away record stinks. The only team doing the business for the south are the kiwis.

Here's a really really funny fact... your rush defence... the thing that has kept you partially relevant in the modern era and where you got any success this century... it came from Shaun Edwards... an Englishman. Thats where Bokkies like Gary Gold and Jake White got that shit from. We taught you how to defend properly and kept you competitive. Funny world aint it. Not bad for a backward crappy rugby nation. Now we are waaaaaay ahead of the crap you call rugby and you have put all your eggs in the basket of the gift we gave you al those years ago. Man this is the best joke yet. Thanks professor plum. catch a clue next time and save yourself the heartache... hahahahahaha!!!!!

CAMB

Just a question - why did England had 8 players in their WC squad not born in England if they are so good?   They will be beaten by NZ with ease again on Saturday,

There is every likelihood that England will be beaten again, should they be unlucky to play SA during the serious,

If moving on means we achieve a 22% win record then nah thanks boet.

We'll just keep smashing your forwards.

Like you'd moved on when you couldn't make it out the group stages last time.

Then you hired a foreign coach to supplement your team of foreign born players and now you've made it to the semis and wow, look how big your mouth suddenly is.

Talk to me when you start beating us regularly.

Hahahahaha poor old brew!.

Brew you didn't mention how Japan beat Ireland. Why was that?

This guy is an hilarious troll. Nice addition to the board.

Best result would be for England to beat the wee abs. That would settle the blowhard kbbs. Then we beat England in final to squash the England blowhards. Man that would be priceless.

Brew your team is made up of imports. Your country is being invaded and you will soon be a minority on your own  country with your women in hijabs. What are you doing about that. Tell me on Beeno's Trumpet.
