Don't mean to hijack Hakwa's theme but most memorable tour, the 81 Springbok tour, the scene where Gary Knight was flour bombed is unforgettable.
Most memorable tour good or bad.

The British Lions tour under Willie John Mc Bride to SA in the early 70's without a doubt...most of you guys were probably not around then and before that Phillip Nel's side to NZ just before the war...I'm told cause I wasn't around then.

Am with you Poly on that tour......I remember as a kid waking up at 4am to watch those tests

The worst was the series under Wynand Claasen to NZ. Some years ago had the priviledge to share a table at a conference at the Swazi Sun with Wynand Claasen and he told us about the discomfort...the team had to secretly sleep under the bench stadiums just before matches as they couldn't sleep in hotels due to the protests and on going noise and if that was not a handicap enough they were flour-bombed from choppers. It was absolute hell and there was no joy at all and they couldn't wait to go home.
