I have been saying that for a long time. When I exclaimed the strengths of Japanese rugby in particular over the past four years I was told they were slow, fat, had no skills, no technical understanding of the game and it was "worthless". In a way I am glad that SA are humbled because our rugby culture is one of arrogance and smug pride. They see anyone who isn't NZ as inferior, and the winning success under Meyer fueled that further. If you do not take your opponents seriously, you CAN be defeated. We played into their hands and got burned. A nation whose domestic game is faster than Super rugby and where they are very comfortable striking cleanly from turnover ball and were very, very fit. Quite frankly it shouldn't be that much of a shock. Especially given how many duds were present in the Boks side.

Why do you lie about what you were told about Japanese players?  There was not a singe contributor on this site who wrote "they were slow, fat, had no skills, no technical understanding of the game and it was "worthless""
Is it because they put one over on the blundering old farts in the Springbok team and the stodgy and illogical game plan used by Meyer in that match?
