....he remains the incu.mbent 5 according to the Bok camp. The players have had 2 weeks off, but apparently that's not enough rest. So the question arises why they never rested him for one of the Bargie tests, rather than for the test that will make or break our season. .. And reporters gobble up this disinformation and reproduce it as fact.

He's not the biggest lock in the world and he plays hard so maybe they are giving him more time off. It's a long season. Given the length of his rest I suspect he must have a few niggles also. Doesn't sound like there's a story here.

I'm glad he's got a rest Moz, he'll need to be fully rested to match Retallick's work rate against the AB's.

He's had a long season, hopefully PSDT can live up to his potential

He had his weakest game of the year in Salta, so there may be some truth to the need for rest. All I'm saying is if there is a conviction he is crucial to our cause....why not plan to use him in the decisive tests. Both Stephanie and Lomp have a chance to put their hands up.....if one of them unexpectedly comes off Mostert could be on the bench or out of the squad for the ABs as well.

Yeah, fair point, the problem is that neither of those two can match Mosterts work rate, Lood especially tends to  be quite lazy. Both have excellent physical qualities so if they put the work in to match, they'll be very effective.

Maybe it is just to give Lomp some game time. He has been like a spare wheel so far this year. I forgot he was even in the touring squad.
Stephanie is probably crying for a starting position.

Dr Moz apparently appears to have taken my advice about the fall off of form of Mostert.  Du Toit or Loodt are both fine locks with Du To it the more mobile.
Given the small loose trio and small substitute hooker we cant go too light. The BOK pack needs to be have a edge at against OZ and the wee abs.

So does Mostert start against the ABs? Nope he is effectively dropped....but he will likely be on the bench as the Game of Locks continue. Stick with moz for the real scoop.
