Moz and JJ

Moz, I get why you have entertained us with your anti JJ barrage. You questioned his ability to beat defenders in tight games, his ability to beat a man on the outside, you said all he had was pace and was only good in space, that he was predictable and used to only step in.

Well he proved you wrong on all those counts in one single game against the best opposition the game has to offer. Hell you even turned a great break by JJ into him conceding a try, that is the lengths you have gone to, to discredit his display last weekend, but I get why you have done it.

We all know better though, JJ announced his arrival with ball in hand on Saturday and there is no going back, he has set the marker and proved you 100% wrong and its not sitting comfortably with you.

You must realise that Mozart always have a hidden agenda when it comes to players.   He has some players he is openly or not so openly champion and in this case he is not so secretly wanting De Jongh at 13.

So you can take what he says about Engelbrecht with a pinch of salt - especially when he goes overboard.   Engelbrecht is not as bad as Mozart keep on writing - he has some deficiencies in defence - but is also dangerous in attacking play.    Those issues can and will be sorted out - he definitely is not the defensive sieve De Jongh was in Super 15 this year - the latter missing 25% of all attempted tackles .

There were  some defence deficiencies noticeable all backline players last Saturday - probably the poorest defender of all  being Morne Steyn.   But Morne is according to Mozart a holy cow and not to be touched.   He went on about how well Morne played until I reminded him of the very poor defence on his part - as well as other flaws - two of which he tried to place at only Engelbrecht's door as well - ie the Messam try and the one by Barrett.

So don't worry overmuch - things are not a bad as Mozart makes them out to be.

As I said, I have your number on JJ........please do provide your minute by minute take on JJ's performance, it will only serve to heighten your pain, especially when you talk us through his beating of Savea.

Boklogic has provided stuff all other to confirm JJ missed a tackle, we know that, just as we know Jean missed 2 and Morne 4.

Its about the rest of JJ's game with ball in hand that has sent you on the defensive......please do provide your mozcroscope, I can't wait, but be sure to have a large whiskey at hand!!

Problem with your take on JJ's miss on Barrett is that you keep avoiding the very fact that Jean and then Morne missed him first, so pointing fingers at JJ carries no weight at all.......its laughable.......we all know Jean, Morne and JJ missed Barrett and that's a FACT.

JJ missed 1 tackle all game, Jean 2 and Morne 4........who is the best defender here?
