Willie 5 .....not his best, but great tackle on Barrett stopping a dangerous break. Kolbe 8........brilliant tackles, electric when he got the ball, most dangerous player on the park. Am 4....poor game, should never have gone to ground in the Goodhue try. Allende 5....so much good ball turned into contested ball by toothless tractoring. Mapimpi 3....never even tried to catch Pollard's cross kick that just bounced in touch. A deer in the headlights. Pollard 5....some clumsy things, some missed tackles, but had the bottle to make THE kick. Faf 6.....lots of good things, but too much box kicking. Kitshoff 4....one turnover, wasn't even pushing in the scrums, a neutral loosehead at best. Marx 6.... .always physical, not as dominant on the deck and his throws were poor. Fattie Malherbe 2.....just useless Etzebeth 6.....solid game without being dominating Mostert 7 ......vast amount of work, made all his tackles.....lots of contributions Kwagga 7......not his kind of game, but still made many contributions Stephanie 6......played it tighter, but missed a few tackles, botched a lineout and was ineffective on the deck. Vermeulen 5.....never quite got the rhythm right, but led the team well. Beast 8......massive scrumming showed up Kitshoff's toothlessness. Bongi 4.....a few poor throws rescued by Snyman's athleticism Nyakane 6.....inspired by the Beast, he was better than Fatty Malherbe Snyman 8 ....gave away a penalty, but took an AB throw, offloaded superbly and imposed himself. Louw 7.....crucial game saving turnover, and slowed down the ball effectively Jantjies 7....so clever, so decisive, two times a match winner. Frans Steyn 7....totally disrupted the AB backline with his brilliantly timed rush defence Jessie the sieve Kriel 3......useless on attack, useless on defence.

Moz, can't fault your ratings too much, but Snyman was no 8 and Malherbe wasn't useless...Mostert wasnt anything better than a 6.

Mozart  and his normal BS.  Read what Rugby365 said about the bugger-all Steyn did in the match and the bugger -ups Vermeulen made is enough to bring him down to 4.

He is totally deluded as per normal on the players he hates and he tries to prove to us that the useless were useful.   Idiot Speak at it loudest as expected,

So lets look at each individual allocation and compare my thoughtful assessment with the dud BS assessment of Mozart:

   Player          Real Assessment     Mozart's  BS

Le Roux                     6                         5

Kolbe                         7                         8

Am                             4                         4

De Allende                 7                         5

Mapimpi                     4                         3

Pollard                        7,5                      5

Faf                              4                         6

Vermeulen                 3                          5

Du Toit                      7                          6

Smith                        5,5                        7

Mostert                     4,5                        7

Etzebeth                   5,5                        6

Malherbe                 5.5                        2

Marx                        5.5                        6

Kitshoff                   5,5                        4

Mbonambi               5,5                       4

Beast                        6                          8

Nyakane                   6                          6

Snyman                    5                          8

Louw                        5                          7

Jantjies                     8                           7

Steyn                        4                           7

Kriel                         5                           3

So lets look at the major differences beyond 1 point:-

De Allende

His tackles were very strong and effective - totally neutralizing te famous Williams off-loads in tackles and disrupting the flow of the NZ backline.   His carries were better than the AB centers and his replacement Steyn.

Pollard

Did his job well enough and bar one long distance kick at goal - his goal kicking was  top class.  A very good ball recovery in one case and turned an AB attack into advantage for the Springboks

De Klerk

Made 2 serious bugger-ups resulting in possession turnovers,  His kicks were generally too far and presented no problem for the AB's to fil same and counter-attacked

Vermeulen

Was the direct source of 10 of the 16 points scored by the AB's.  Two penalties given away and two knock-ons - one leading to the Goodhue try,   He was the worst of the three SA loosies by some distance,

Smith

Kwagga worked very had and put in a lot of tackles - but was rathe ineffective in whatever else he did.  Two penalties did not help his course.  Am prepared to increase his allocation to 6

Mostert

He did work - but he did not produce the Tight 5 play expected from a  lock.  His tackles were not strong and he did not really  succeed in being physical enough.   Am prepared to increase his points to 5

Malherbe

A nutcase at work here,  The scrumming was adequate against the strongest NZ starting props and he was an adequate Tight Head,  Personal Mozart vendetta at work here - utter BS

Kitshoff

The same BS as per normal from Mozart.  The scrums were solid all the time - and that is enough for a 5,5 agains the Aussie props

Mbonambi

Was adequate as a replacement hooker

Mtawarira

very good scrumming in two scrums against the weaker bench props of the AB's  Good scrumming - but not worth iore than 6 points.

Snyman

Penalty give away and 3 poor ball carries as well as a few (3 tackles) and Mozart went dilly,  The man looked somewhat lost on the field as of he did not know what he was there for.  Nut case assessment by Mozart.

Louw

Made one turnover - no ball carries and he made 1 solitary tackle.   Fo r that he gets a 7 from Mozart - loony bin assessment here.

Steyn

This is ridiculous - Steyn made 5 substandard tackles allowing tackled players to off-load balls and his carries were totally useless.  Rugby 365 gave him a 3 for being on the field and doing next to nothing of value.   They need to find another player to replace this useless one.

Mozart as per normal has a way of rating players on the basis of them being his favourites for years now - irrespective how really useless they are on the field of play,   Reputation selection and rating in the Meyer vein is what Mozart believes in.

We were OK in the scrums untill the penalty...a formidable AB pack...so not useless...and to give an 8, a player must really stand out...RG had a couple of risky offloads...solid enough, but not 8...and Mosterdt did nothing wrong, but nothing spectacular either...what you call process tackles when PSDT or Lood does it....and giving Fransie 7 confirms the baiting maneuver .

Glad you gave Kolbe the 8 though.

What a load of crap Kitshoff and Malherbe were good our scrum stood solid in fact I thought we had the slight edge, should have been awarded a scrum penalty on the stroke of halftime. Beast was no better than Kitshoff. Mostert was a non entity apart from the first 10 min Vermeulen was our worst player de Allende was good Frans did stuff all and got a 3 out of 10 which is spot on. All he does is target contact it’s predictable and easily contained

Hahaha.....actually Frans was up super fast, but he didn't have any real chances with the ball. I'll revise that to a 6. Mostert does everything Stephanie does.....and he takes his lineouts. But out of respect for a friend, I'll call that a 7. Malherbe was flaccid in the scrums, flaccid in genital er general play.....if that's not useless pick our own adjective. Would you prefer toothless?

Moz, I'm not really a Malherbe fan, but he did not belly flop today, so an improvement in my book...., but since you are reasonable on other issues, I'll take toothless .

PS, Kitsie was up against Franks and stood up well enough, but I can live with Beast starting too.

We stood firm, but only just, until they got the second shove on us and we got penalized...and replacing the front row fixed that and gave us a bit of dominance.

Our timeouts were fine too....

PS, Saf, I think Mapimpi was worse than Duane...Duane made a few errors, but some contributions too...Mapimpi did nothing.

Am was toothless too. Couldn't impose himself on defence or attack...Kriel is better.

One second shove that gave away a penalty which we should have also got on the halftime whistle. So one all for the rest ever scrum was solid and no it was not only just. The replacement props faced the NZ replacement props - wake up. I’ll give you Mapimpi as our worst followed by Vermeulen

Vermuelen put in a huge effort. Unless a loosie is seen streaking away making easy yards they don't rate the hard grater.

The tackling stats showed the three loosies leading the tackle count for the Boks.

It looks to me like Nyakane has overtaken Malherbe. Malherbe not fit enough. Kitshoff work rate outside the scrum and his mobility is excellent. Held his own in the scrum.

Why oh why has Akkers been ignored. Marx was loafing as was Mpimpi.

The Bok puzzle looks to be in the process of being solved.

Moral victory for Boks.

I have analyzed Mozart's assessments for what they are worth.  Most of it is utter BS based on favoritism,

The worst players o n the day were -

Mapimpi, Am, Vermeulen, Steyn, Snyman

Locks should be Etzebeth and Snyman with Lood on the bench PSDT might as well stay at 7 as Rassie is not looking at the likes of JL du Preez or Jacques du Plessis. I prefer PSDT at lock but he is doing a job at 7 and has to be in the mix Dump old man Vermeulen at 8 and start with Marcel Coetzee

We stood firm and never a step forward until the Beast replaced the bog ordinary Kitshoff who was just resting against the bog ordinary Franks. As for starting with fat man Coetzee.....bad idea. Vermeulen safely gathered every kickoff, made his tackles.......and the penalty should have gone the other way. Agree on Snyman and Etzebeth, but as for our third lock also known as blindsider.....rather pick Mostert who plays to the ball. Damn Dave you have truffles for brains!

If me taking you to task on your shit is truffles then truffles or dumb it is. Kitshoff was good against one of the best tightheads in the game. Beast scrummed against a different tighthead bozo so comparing Kitshoff to Beast is idiotic. Vermeulen was crap, made mistakes and was a non entity. Calling the muscle bound Coetzee fat is childish Mostert is not physical enough for test rugby he is on par with Orie. Lood is far far better Kriel was far better than Am who was crap - I expected more from Am he is better than that. Kriel should have started he was great last year in most of the tests he played in. He was also damn good for the Bulls

Moz's ratings are solid, and close enough to mine.

Willie 5.5 .....done nothing on attack. Made a few aimless up and under that were not contestable, which gave the All Blacks some of their best counter-attacking opportunities. Positional play as last line of defence was solid.

Kolbe 8........Best SA player. A solid allround game.

Am 4....  This is a problem area because the alternative is Kriel. Neither are satisfactory.

Allende 4....waisted some of the best-attacking movements. His crash ball is far inferior to Frans Steyn's crash ball.

Mapimpi 3.... He is not the first choice, with at least 3 wingers ahead of him. He is a good finisher, but in a real test match, he probably does not have the all-round game.

Pollard 5....Average. Is the problem him or Delande?

Faf 7.....Solid, one of the best Bok players

Kitshoff 4.... His season of doing nothing for the Stormers has extended to the Boks

Marx 6.... . Perfection minus a throwing arm

Flab Malherbe 2.....was he on the pitch? It takes ages to condition him, before his next injury.

Etzebeth 6.....Was physical, and bullied the All Black forwards.

Mostert 7 ......High work rate, a fit mobile player. The new Matfield

Kwagga 6......His skill was not used.

Stephanie 6...... Solid

Vermeulen 5.....his worst test in a long time.

Beast 7......Improvement from ginger ninja.

Bongi 4..... The All Blacks have our number in the lineouts, and it does not help to have 2 hookers with no throwing arms.

Nyakane 6.....Should probably be starting.

Snyman 7 - He made himself known.

Louw 8.....Need to find a starting spot for him.

Jantjies 8....pulled the win out of the air.

Frans Steyn 7...An improvement on Dumblande.

Jessie 4 - Between AM and Kriel, the only question is which one is worse.

Dave always sees the game he wants to see....agree with you on the lineouts Shark. Jaws was laser focused on his opponent most times we threw to number 4....it looked like the ABs knew where it was going. And once again we fell for the AB surprise scrum tactic.....a series of neutral scrums and then suddenly a big one with our guys half asleep.

No Mozart - absolute BS again.  The AB's changed their props before the Springboks did after the NZ scrum deteriorated and the first scrum after the change was poor because by then the SA props were tired out.  After that scrum the Springbok props were changed and the AB scrum again came under pressure.

Talking about what he wants to see what about you doing even worse.  You see things that you wished to happen and when it did not you write down that it did    Cloud 9 thinking

There were two scrums when Kitshoff and Malherbe was pm where the AN scrum, did go backwards and in one case the AB's were penalized for it.   That is conveniently \hidden away by the idiots on site.   There is no way that they do not lie about everything when it comes to their pet hate players.

Duds like Steyn who did bugger-all of real value  get a 7 is just total BS and the same applies to Snyman who\s main contribution was to give away a penalty.   he was lucky not to carded for that effort.   Some refs would have sent him packing for doing  what he did.   But for a relatively low number of tackles - in the case of Steyn poor quality ones as well - and no real ball carries they each get a 7.  Louw made one possession turnover - never carried a ball in the game - made 1 tackle and gave away a penalty and the dishonest Mozart also gave him a 7

That is farcical and should scare away members from dishonest statements made by dishonorable idiots.

53' Penalty New Zealand. The All Blacks put on a huge eight-man shove to push South Africa off their own ball and win the decision from Nic Berry. Barrett will line up another shot at penalty just to the right of his successful last attempt. 60' Penalty South Africa. This time it's the Boks who win a scrum penalty after a strong shunt from the visitors pack. Meanwhile, Brodie Retallick is down with what looks to be a shoulder injury. Pollard will however line up a shot to reduce the gap to one point once play resumes. 78' Penalty South Africa. The Boks win a penalty at the scrum but fail to find touch; they do however still end up with a lineout throw on the All Blacks' 10 after Barrett clears into touch. A mere 13 minutes after the half our 'tired front row' was monstered. On comes the Beast and a series of dominant scrums. The Boks won two scrum penalties, both after fat man Malherbe and the tired Kitshoff left the park. The Beast has always made things happen. Kitshoff is a nothing burger.

No Mozart

You again ignored what I said about the AB's changing their props just begore they got their first scrum penalty, and Beast being brought on after that to scrum against the AB second stringers,  And giving an 8 to him for two scrums is BS beyond words.

You obviously did not comment ion the other three farcical ratngs because they were absoikute Mozart  BS ,
