WP XV posted a message abut the WP training squad this year. Near the end of the comments is an input from him about Tim Swiel. There is a short video clip as well.
If you watch the clip you will get an impression about what is expected from a good flyhalf with ball sense. Entirely different from what Morne Steyn delivers - whether on CC level or higher.

I know your attitude - but there is one issue to be borne in mind. I saw Morne Steyn play on Junior level and he had no ball sense and very little attacking ability. Eight years later nothing has changed in him.
If you compare Morn Steyn and Tim Swiel as juniors - there is three huge differences:-
* Morne Steyn had no ball sense and failed to read games properly - Swiel is really the ball sense wizard.
* Morne's defence was always questionable - Swiel makes his tackles.
* As a Junior Morne Steyn missed more kicks at goal than he made - Swiel is successful with virtually all his kicks.
Steyn was a flop as a junior - he made one improvement in his later career - and that is his goal kicking. For the rest he is still the same player he was as a junior.
I am looking at the future as well and whereas you state you want to see Swiel play at Super 15 - you will not have to wait long - we will see it in 2014. If his form was 10 times better than Morne as a Junior - it is likely to be 20 times better than Morne on senior level. So let us wait and see what happens next year.

Don't be your normal stupid self again. How do you know what Swiel will attain in future? In any event Morne more than any other player buggered up our chances of winning the RC. You won't accept it - but it is a fact. However, facts are not relevant according to you - the cloud 9 tooth fairy is - so you would not see the bugger-ups Morne made and keep on dreaming about what he should have done if he had any ball sesnse.
