It happens in every code of sport and that is what make reading of his posts extra interesting.   His clangewrs on rugby has reached a crescendo - like scoring of tries in games does not really count - that backline players are there for defense only - that ball protection and recovery is not important when it comes to loosies.    That assessment of flyhafs are based entirely on their kicking game.   That coaches cannot enhance performance of players through sound caching, etc,

However, his recent pronouncements were in respect of cricket.   He started a thread that Cook should not have been replaced by Markram and in the first test against Australia after the Mozart comments Markram made a century,  Frankly that shows a deep level of stupidity.

But an even deeper level was reached insofar as De Kock is concerned.   According to Mozart cannpt bat against spinners and the Aussie bowlers will send him packing,  because his batting technique is poor.   When told that De Kock will get through the slump in form - he denied that it is possible.
His other arguments are famous as well - when told that Amla has eye-hand co-ordination he claimed it is not applicable.   So Amla made 8 runs in the Aussie test and the rest of the top order was atrocious in the test thus far.   All of Elgar, Amla and Du Plessis failed badly and in the middle order De Bruin showed some signs of life in the second innings,    Time for things to change in that team.

Mozart

Mine was an over-estimation of the strength of the Crusaders and the weaknesses of the Stormers.

Yours insofar as Markram and  De Kock is concerned was based on stupidity with a huge dose of prejudice  thrown in.   Toy should admit you were wrong insofar as Markram and De Kock are  concerned and simultaneously apologize to the board for making misleading and incorrect statements.

You should also admit that  Amla is not up to standard anymore and replacement should be considered.   There are young players like Wiaan Mulder to be considered n that case.

So you are saying I said Markram should be dropped for Cook?

No - you started a thread  saying that the replacement of Cook by selecting Markram was a mistake making some rather nasty remarks about Markram.   However, your attack on De Kock was really vicious and you alleged that he will fail against the Aussie bowlers  and that he is not an international batsman and a host of other nasty comments.

I am happy that you are being proved wrong by both youngsters   and the egg mountain covering you is really monumental in size,

By the way one of the Aussie commentators today said clearly that Amla is over the hill and going downhill because of the age factor,   I agree wholeheartedly with what he said.    He has reached the level of incompetence that Graeme Smith achieved before his own retirement.

Lies again DCup, this is exactly what I said about Markram: "Jan 26, 2018, 03:57 I’m fine with continuing to try Markham.....he looks pretty good. I’m simply pointing out if we apply the same criteria we applied to Cook he would be gone." The combination of your terrible memory and inability to understand the English language leads to this kind of flagrant balls all the time.

Ou maaaikie the only clanging you are hearing is the collusion of your two lonely dysfunctional brain cells!

Bye the way ou maaakie both Amla and AB are 34.  Care to comment about AB. I would say of course both are nearing the end of their careers. wouldn't think they have more than  two years left?

Lol and Bahahahahahahaha

Some of these posts are hilarious...Beeno's Mrs Malapropisms are classic

only clanging you are hearing is the collusion of your two lonely dysfunctional brain cells!

Surely you mean collision....collusion ...secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy in order to deceive others..

Dangling dangleberries...this is funny.

Absolutely not fruitcake....I never called for Markram to be gone. I did say that he shouldn't have been made captain so soon because that created extra pressure on his batting. As for the Amla/de Kock debate. They have both had miserable 2018s so far. De Kock averaged 15.5 in his 9 innings against India. Amla averaged 29 in his 12 innings, batting much higher in the order. It's reasonable to believe that de Kock may recover better than Amla because of age. But it's also reasonable for the selectors to want to make sure Amla's slump is permanent....you don't want to give up on a test batsmen who has averaged 48 too soon.

In case some of you bright sparks don't know Mrs Malaprop...

The character Mrs. Malaprop is a humorous aunt who gets mixed up in the schemes and dreams of young lovers in Richard Brinsley Sheridan's 1775 comedy-of-manners The Rivals.

One of the funniest aspects of Mrs. Malaprop's character is that she often uses an incorrect word to express herself. The popularity of the play and of the character led to the creation of the literary term malapropism, meaning the the practice (whether by intent or by accident) of using an incorrect word that sounds similar to the appropriate word.

Mrs. Malaprop's name comes from the French term malapropos, meaning “inappropriate”

Here are a few examples of Mrs. Malaprop's wit and wisdom:

"We will not anticipate the past, our retrospection will now be all to the future."

"The pineapple of politeness" (Instead of "pinnacle of politeness.")

"She's as headstrong as an allegory on the banks of the Nile" (Instead of "alligator on the banks of the Nile.")

Beeno's malapropism is a real gem...what makes it even more funnier is that he meant collision but collusion could also apply according to Mozart...I've been in stitches since.

Mozart

Any logical person reading your drivel will accept what I stated as correct and your subsequent slithering snake diversion to try explain what really happened in this case.

As to recovery of form you forgot how you said that De Kock will be poor against the  Aussie bowlers.   What happened in his case was a denial by you that any form recovery in his case was im possible.

The snake is trying to deny everything when caught out - what a laugh.

Well Beenz...nothing really changes and although these 2 old codgers (both very likeable at times) wave their walking sticks at each other in really trivial matters and do 2 things...they either annoy the dour serious posters or they cause stitches of laughter from those who see the funny side...every now and then one sees efforts of reconciliation by Ol' Maaik,( never seen one from Mozart) but it just takes one spark to set the gun powder alight.

The names of Alberts, Frans and Morne Steyn, Matfield and many of the has beens should be banned from this forum...it's so funny really and ridiculous...these guys have disrupted this forum more than they have been effective on the playing fields of rugby.....Hahahahahahaha.

I actually like Mozart and needle him to see the result.    It always is explosive and I then reacted accordingly.

Mozart

Lets agree to disagree on the issue of some players.   However - there remains a worrying factor,   4 of the sev3n batsmen in fact failed badly,   Those include Elgar, Amla, Du Plessis and De Villiers (in the second innings)

Fact is that the scores of the batsmen in this test are as follows:-

Elgar         -      16 runs

Markram   -     175 runs

Amla        -        8 runs

Du Plessis  -     19 runs

De Villiers  -    71 runs

De Bruin    -     42 runs

De Kock    -     103 runs

So we have 7 batsmen with only three with top class scores - one was so-so and three failed dismally.   If the failures could even produce 100 runs in two innings and De Villiers produced 30 runs in the second innings the test could have been won.

Amla has a serious eye-hand co-ordination problem and that type of problem does not disappear - with aging the problem gets worse.   I think the management should ask him to take a break and see whether he can be better on lower level,   However, that may not help in his case - when he played for the Cobras that problem was also in evidence.

Elgar had a reasonably good test run until the English test series last year - but since then the failures have become progressively worse.    He always had a poor technique  and that is exploited by the bowlers.

Du Plessis had an injury break and I think he would recover.

I think the two players where replacement should be considered is Elgar and Amla.   I would replace Elgar with Erwee and Amla with Klaasen.

As Gordon Gekko said DCup, stop lying about me and I will stop telling the truth about you. Or put another way....stop putting up these lurid headlines if you don't want your head handed to you. There, that sounds like a reasonable olive leaf, be nice and I'll send the rest of the branch. LMAOFY!

I regard it is my duty to point out the silly comments you make on this site as a means to get some sense into your thick skull and he above was a typical case of such education measures.LMAO

By the way what about my comments on Amla and Elgar above?
