I have previously said that Mozart's version of what happened in games is normally distorted and unreliable because of prejudice. I looked at all his comments specifically to see what really happened and noted everything and themn wote the following comments on what Mozart wrote iro the first half:-
Minute 1: 05
Mozart’s version
Mostert stops Bargie dead in his tracks 9 ball is lost backwards – but recovered.
What really happened
Player went forward about a meter an d passed the ball back while being tackled – attack continued
Minute 1:10
Mozart’s version
Mostert got up in the tackle and made the next tackle out wide on the Bargie’s 13 in space bring him down cleanly
What really happened
The attack did not go out wide – the attack was in the line where the weak tackle and ball off-load took place, An open field tackle it was not. Please note that he made a rather weak tackle and got up in half a second – how did he get out wide anyway, The 13 went orwqard in the tackle – so it was a clean – but weak – tackle.
Minute 1:23
Stephanie shoots out of line opening a huge gap for Sanchez, he runs through the space Stephanie vacated outside his marker who made a diving attempt but misses. Stephanie gets back to the next breakdown and fails to slow down the ball at his feet. Bargie try scored.
What really happened
The Mozart version is totally falsified. The defensive line as formed with Du Toit facing a potential attacker. He did not rush out of line as Mozart made out and did not create any gap through which Sanchez could run through. Mostert was the player facing Sanchez but despite a feeble tackling attempt Sanchez just run past him easily. The breakdown ball cane back slowly and allowed the Springbok side to be in a defensive line and t try followed a strategic kick by Sanchez. If that was not the case why did Sanchez not pass the ball – but make a kick, A totally misrepresented account and the fact is that Mozart disgraced himself by this garbage.

What really happened
This was a joint tackle – but the Argentinians rtaained possession

Mozart’s version
Stephanie a bit slow in preventing a Sanchez pass
What really happened
Sanchez managed to pass the ball the moment he was tackled by Du Toit – very ineffective pass that did not lead to anything.

Mozart’s version
Stepahnie made his first tackle and was carried back 2 meters
Mozart’s versi
A very effective tackle – the ball carrier player did not make ny mters – he went straight down
Minute 10:05
Mozart’s version
Mostert and Stephanie combine with others to stop 2 phases effectively.
What really happened
The effective tackle – a very good one – was made by Du Toit and as completed when Mostert arrived and fell over his own feet in the process. As a result of thee xcellent du Toit tackle the abll was recovered by the Springboks.

Stephanie tackles, but is knocked backwards – good Bargies ball
What really happened
There was no completed tackle made by Du Toit, Before he could go for the tackle – the Bargie player made a step to the outside of Du Toit and ran past Du Toit. Not really good enough on the part of Du Toit.

The Bargies finally have the ball Mostert in joint tackle – no forward movement
What really happened
Good attempt, but the Bargies recovered the ball easily

Mozart’s version
Stephanie and Pollard joint tackle, Bargie driven back by Pollard who is in the stronger position
What really happened
Du Toit was the primary tackler in this case and the Bargie player was already going backwards in the tackle when Pollard joined him to assist in the tackle.

What really happened
The tackled player went straight down – no meter push back in evidence

Stephanie meets runner at the side of the ruck and pushes him back.
What really happened
Around that time the Argentinians were on the attack after two penalties given away by Mostert and De Klerk. The corner kick resulted in a driving maul and Du toit played a major role in stopping the maul by coming through in the enter of the maul. The Argentinians could not get through wh the maul and because of the threat of Du Toit sent the ball down their backline where a handling error stopped the game and it went back to the breakdown where the Springboks were penalized for another side entry by De Klerk and he got carded for that.

Stephanie followed up Kolbe’s kick-off tackle, gets pushed back
What really happened
Kolbe and Du Toit plus another player followed up the kick and when threatened by Kolbe the recipient passed the ball to a player inside of him. That player was tackled very effectively by Du Toit.

Mostert drives the Bargies to touch in a join tackle.
What really happened
There were two other players involved as well and the driving to touch was not really successful and the ball was recovered by the Argentinians and the attack continued,

What really happened
I tried desperately to find any prove that the above actually happened and could not find if it actually happened at all.

Mozart’s comments
After kick-off Stephanie meets Bargie high who shakes him away and goes to ground.
What actually happened
Du Toit tackled the Argentiniabn receiver and a maul followed – The ball recipient did niot go to ground mysteriously.
I made notes of incidents in the second half as well and it was the same garbage Mozart wrote above so I would not waste further space on what Mozart wrote.
Just two issues I want to emphasize showing total bias:-
* Mostert missed a tackle attempt on Sanchez - but Du Toit gets the blame for the missed tackle based entirely on Mozart's imagination.
* Mozart saw the ball passed by Du Toit tp Kolbe going forward? Neither the referee, the line judges and the video monitor saw anything wrong with the pass and the Argentinians did not call for a review either. But Mozart cannot ehlp himnslef - he was talking Kak about Du toit as per normal.
